Powderhounds Rating

Revelstoke

Cat skiing with the Revelstoke Mountain Resort is a “must do” so that you can experience the full complement of powderhound activities on offer at Revelstoke. Revelstoke is the new “it” place for powder skiing and snowboarding because the snow falls in abundance. This is a great place to prowl for powder in a cat.

Packages Revelstoke offers single day cat ski trips. Accommodation is not included in the package so you have complete freedom to choose your own. It’s all about flexibility. Your ski holiday can include a mix of cat skiing, resort (lift) skiing, and heli-skiing with Selkirk Tangiers. This is what makes the Revelstoke experience unique.

Where is Revelstoke Cat Skiing Located? The Revelstoke cat skiing terrain is located adjacent to the Revelstoke Mountain Resort in the legendary Selkirk Mountains. Revelstoke Mountain Resort is just a few kilometres from the town of Revelstoke, and is 2 hours north of Kelowna and 5 hours west of Calgary.

Terrain The cat ski terrain incorporates the South, Montana and Kokanee Bowls which adjoin the lift serviced terrain, and provide 1,242 hectares (3,070 acres or 12.4km2) of powder fun to ‘revel’ in. The terrain is predominantly gladed slopes that are moderately steep and appropriate for advanced riders. The trees are a fraction tight in places, so intermediates would not be well catered for. Alpine bowl skiing is also on offer which has greater pitch. As with all cat skiing operations, the snow conditions, snowpack stability, visibility and ability level of the group dictates the terrain that is covered each day.

More Reasons To Cat Ski With Revelstoke Even though it is very reasonably priced, riding the Revelstoke cat is a lavish experience. You almost feel like you’re sitting in a Gold Class Cinema. The only thing missing is the popcorn.
