Surprises Come in Small Parcels.

03/01/2017
Plose is a great little Dolomites ski resort with a sunny and warm location. Nearby Bressanone, with its beautiful medieval town centre, provides the perfect base to explore the area.

A modern lift system, which would be the envy of many a ski resort around the world, moves skiers and snowboarders around comfortably and efficiently. The extensive snow making system ensures skiing is available in even the leanest of snow years. Small and busy beginner areas let down this otherwise pleasing ski resort.

The 9km long Trametsch run is excellent and must present a real challenge to skiers indulging in excess Aperol spritzers at La Finestra bar near the top of the run. This Powderhound did it sober, at speed and was hanging on for dear life.

Apres starts early here, be prepared.

Stay in Bressanone unless there is fresh snow in the forecast, then stay in a rifugio on the hill.
