Your guides will adapt the daily program according to your skills, the weather, snow conditions & most importantly, the wishes of the group.

Skier/Boarder Ability

This tour caters for all abilities from beginners to expert skiers. The tour itinerary will vary upon the ability of the group. A group with similar ability makes the tour more enjoyable for all.

All groups are led by an experienced professional IFMGA/UIAGM guide with expert local knowledge of the terrain & snow conditions.

DAY 1: Arrival at the Airport

Arrive at the airports of Milan (Malpensa or Linate) or at the airport of Bergamo Orio al Serio, before 2pm. You will be met by your guide/host at the exit door of the international flights (or other location in Milan as arranged). After a short briefing with a good Italian coffee (why not?) you are transported directly to your hotel in the Gressoney valley at the Monte Rosa (3 hrs). Here, in the central valley, stay 3 days to explore the three connected ski areas of the Monte Rosa.

Overnight – Hotel in Gressoney

DAY 2: Monterosa – Gressoney ski resort

The first day begins easy if required to account for any jet-lag & to explore the great territory of the Monterosa. In the morning ski the slopes on right side of the valley, in the afternoon on the left side. If you like, freeride powder ski opportunities exist.

Overnight – Hotel in Gressoney

DAY 3: Monterosa – Alagna ski resort

The second day is dedicated at the 2000 meters of vertical in the Alagna ski area. From the Col dei Salati, ski nearly 2000m vertical to the village of Alagna. An incredibly long slope where it is possible to go on piste or freeride. In any case we arrive in the charming town of Alagna for lunch at the super nice Unione restaurant - an old-style eatery with classic 1930s decoration & furniture. A perfect end for one of the greater ski slopes in the Alps. Return to Gressoney via the lifts & ski slopes.

Overnight – Hotel in Gressoney

DAY 4: Monterosa – Champoluc ski resort

The third day on the Monte Rosa is in the Champoluc ski area that is connected with Gressoney via the Bettaforca pass. A long system of ski slopes lead to the main town where we can taste the Aostan specialities. Champoluc is the first valley of the Aosta region where the people speak “Patua”, a French dialect typical of this area of the western Alps.

Here we leave our tour in the Monte Rosa mountains. If you are in for 5 to 9 days, you continue to your hotel in Saint Vincent (.1.5hr) - a charismatic town on the main Aosta valley.

Overnight – Hotel in St Vincent

DAY 5: Matterhorn – Cervinia/Zermatt

Start early at 8am (not early really!) from Saint Vincent and go to Cervinia, the town at the southern side of the famous Matterhorn (1 hr). Buy the international lift pass & in only one day we cross the ski slopes from Cervinia to Zermatt & return…. With good weather, an unforgettable experience! In the evening you go back to Saint Vincent.

Overnight – Hotel in St Vincent

DAY 6: Pila – Aosta valley

The ski resort of Pila is the most important ski area for the city of Aosta. Access is directly from the city. Ski deserted slopes all day on or off piste at this surprisingly large ski resort. In the evening we visit the amazing old town of Aosta, an original roman city with imperial ruins & interesting mediaeval structures. We stay in a hotel of Aosta and taste the “fonduta”‘ a local speciality of this region.

Overnight – Hotel in Aosta

DAY 7: La Thuile – Aosta valley

La Thuile is the most classical & historic ski resort in the Aosta valley. Located south of Mont Blanc, great ski slopes with huge panoramas are a perfect combination for a day full of amazing descents! Opportunity to ski into France & the La Rosiere ski resort. In the evening, either the tour ends & you are transported to the airport, or if the tour continues, go to our hotel in the famous town of Courmayeur, near the base of the Mont Blanc.
Either return to airport or Milan etc or if continuing the tour…..

Overnight – Hotel in Courmayeur

DAY 8 & 9: Mont Blanc & Courmayeur & Chamonix

The ski resorts of Mont Blanc need a minimum of two days, one for the Italian side at Courmayeur and one for then French side at Chamonix. These ski areas are unique! In these two days we have the possibility to see the Mont Blanc from south and then, especially from the Brevent/Flegere ski area in Chamonix, from north….. The greatest view of the highest peak of the continental Europe…. a perfect end of a great ski tour in the western Alps!

Drop off at Milan airport hotel (book the Moxy or Sheraton airport hotels), Milan city centre or other pre-arranged location on the same route.

NOTE: This itinerary is a guide. The tour is dictated by your daily wishes & the weather each day. Your guide will fit around where the best conditions are. That’s the beauty of a guided ski safari tour!
