    Good Value & Good Location

The Powderhounds have not yet visited this property however we have compiled an editor’s review and ratings based on trawling and summarizing dozens of reviews.

The general ratings for this property were Excellent to Very Good....

SERVICE - the owners speak fluent English, German and Japanese so communication is easy if you speak any of those languages. It was said that the staff were very friendly and would go out of their way to help. Because the owners of this property have the ski rental shop on the mountain, several people commented on the convenience of leaving the skis up on the hill each night.

ROOMS - it seems that the rooms are pretty simple and a bit quirky with their decor however they are said to be warm and cosy.

MEALS - No one raved about the breakfast however it seemed in most cases to be adequate as there were no major complaints. A few people commented about the evening meals in the restaurant and said the food was very good.

FACILITIES - the hotel is low frills when it comes to facilities. There are a couple of Japanese bathhouses (onsens) but no one really highlighted these so we can only assume they are not a highlight. There is wifi in the public areas but no one commented on the quality/speed of the connection.

LOCATION - the hotel is fronted by the owners shop which sells homemade jams, juices and icecream. It is located in a central location in the village and only a couple of minutes walk to the travelling walkway which takes you up to the lifts so overall the location is very good.

So it looks like a bit of a quirky establishment with very good service and a European influence. Provided the cost is reasonable I would say this place would be worth a go.
