Mt Hutt Helicopters
Mt Hutt Helicopters is the only heli-ski operation to have a heli pad in the carpark of a commercial ski resort in New Zealand.
If you have never experienced the incredible joy of heli-skiing or heli-boarding, here is your chance to do so without spending a lot of money.
The first thing to note is that you don’t have to be an expert skier to give it a go. Mt Hutt Helicopters offers terrain to suit intermediates to experts.
They offer single runs on the North Peak, just a few kilometres from the Mt Hutt ski area for only NZ$175. Once you are hooked (and I can assure you will be), you can purchase extra runs for only NZ$99.
The great news is, you don't need to book in advance, just walk on in to the heli-hut and book on the spot.
If you would like to venture a little further away from Mt Hutt resort and get into some back-country terrain only accessible by helicopter, Mt Hutt Helicopters offer a Black Hills 3 run package for NZ$475.
Taylor Range packages are 3 runs for $NZ675 which offers thigh burning long runs with an average of 700 metres of vertical per run. Alternatively you can upgrade to a 5 run package for NZ$875.

Mt Hutt Helicopters operate heliskiing adventures from late July / Early August through till mid September.
