Skiing with a local guide means that you can skip getting lost and head straight to the local stashes and secret spots. This tour is perfect for a wide range of skill and fitness levels, with abundant beginner terrain and steeps to pucker up even the most advanced skiers and boarders. Your guide can help you find the perfect terrain to match your desires, ranging from long scenic pistes, to hair raising chutes, pillows or tree skiing, and is always happy to lend a hand with some light coaching along the way.

The fun is only just getting started when the ski day winds down, with world class apres ski options at each resort and fun nightly activities like hot springs or brewery tours. Feast on gourmet Canadian food at top notch restaurants with reservations arranged by your guide. During the course of this 9 day tour you have the opportunity to experience so much more than a run of the mill ski vacation. You will travel roughly 1000 kilometres through Canada’s breath taking mountain heritage sites, ski at 4 legendary ski resorts, soak in hot springs, taste local beers and the best food in the Rockies, as well as hear interesting stories along the way from your very local guide. Fresh Adventures will take care of absolutely everything so all you have to do is worry about keeping your tips up.

You can join this tour as a solo traveler, a couple, small group, family or even book an entire tour with a private group of up to 12 guests.

AbilityTour is suitable for all ability levels and all age groups, with abundant terrain for any level and preference. Riding is in bounds, with no exposure to back country. Back country safety gear is not required.

Accommodation

The standard package for this tour is based on double or twin-share rooms however there is "private room upgrade" available for those that would like a room to themselves.

All of the motel-style accommodation is located down-town and are 3 star plus.

Fox Suites - Banff (5 Nights) 
Newly renovated, comfy rooms with 2 queen beds.

Amazing grotto hot tub and spa and only a 2 minute walk to the center of town.



Prestige Inn - Golden (3 Nights)
For the Kicking Horse part (3 nights) of the trip you will be staying at the Prestige Inn located in Golden (15 mins drive to Kicking Horse ski resort).

It features an indoor pool, hot tub, restaurant & bar, fitness centre and liquor store.

Rooms have big comfy twin queen beds with LCD TV, private en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities.

Itinerary

Starts and ends in Calgary. Pick up is available from any downtown hotel. Same day arrival can shuttle from the Calgary airport or bus stop to the Marriott Downtown Hotel for pick up. Airport drop off is available at the end of the tour.

Day 1: Calgary pick up
Your ski safari starts with a pick up at your Calgary hotel before heading 2 hours west into the majestic Rocky Mountains. After enjoying the incredible mountain views you will check into your comfortable hotel where you stay for four nights. Once you are settled in you will head downtown as a group for a quick tour of the legendary Banff town centre where your guide will recommend a tasty place to eat before a relaxing soak in the hot tub.

Day 2: Ski Sunshine and hot springs
The group will head to Sunshine Village today, world renowned for open alpine slopes and some of the world's most playful terrain. Challenge yourself on the steep fall line ridges or make the most of the scenery while cruising down one of the many beginner runs. Go hard until your legs burn because we're going to the Sulphur Mountain Hot Springs and treating the sore muscles tonight!

Day 3: Ski Lake Louise and explore Banff
Wake up feeling refreshed and hop aboard as you head 45 minutes North to Lake Louise. Today you get to test your legs on one of the most highly rated ski mountains on the planet. Rip it up through open bowls or crank out turns through endless tree runs. If your legs are still feeling wobbly from Sunshine don't worry, Lake Louise is blessed with an unbelievable view of the lake and glacier. Enjoy some free time exploring the wealth of amenities, such as restaurants, bars, breweries, cafes, spas and shops in Banff tonight.

Day 4: Ski Norquay and Banff signature dining experience
Today you will head to Norquay which is conveniently located right above Banff. Enjoy skiing some highly underrated terrain while taking in picture perfect views of Banff and the surrounding mountains. As a special complimentary treat tonight, enjoy a signature Banff dining experience at the Grizzly House, renowned for its delectable fondue platters, local game steaks and healthy salads.

Day 5: Ski the Rockies
Push yourself today as you spend another amazing day skiing the epic bowls of Sunshine or Lake Louise. Skiing in the Rockies is a life changing experience with the abundant scenery in all directions and peaks that make you feel like an ant. Tonight we will arrange a group activity, such as a scenic walk or tour of the Banff Springs Hotel. Of course, you may also go your own way and create your own memorable Banff experience during your Rocky Mountain ski tour.

Day 6-8: Ski Kicking Horse and explore Yoho National Park
This morning you get the chance to relax during the stunning drive through Yoho National Park on the way to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. If you are lucky, you'll see the sunrise casting a fiery orange glow on the ice capped peaks of Yoho National Park as you enter British Columbia and head to the rustic mountain town of Golden.

You will spend 3 days exploring the countless bowls, chutes, headwalls, spines and tree runs at Kicking Horse, where you truly get to test yourself as a skier or boarder. This BC ski resort offers amazing hiking opportunities with your local guide there to show you secret runs from several peaks while feeling like a true side country experience. Although Kicking Horse is home to some of the most challenging runs in North America, it also boasts amazing beginner and non skier options, such as panoramic bowls, sunny peaks and Canada's most elevated dining and après experience at Eagle's Eye Restaurant.

Feast at the best restaurants Golden has to offer, ranging from organic and locally sourced health food to "mountain food" that sticks to your ribs after a big day on the mountain.

Day 9: Return to Calgary

Today you will head back to Calgary as a group and get dropped off at your hotel. Enjoy the epic mountain scenery in two of Canada's national parks and reflect on the adventures you have had. You may be departing from tour, but you will be part of our family forever!

Cancellations by you

  • Cancellations made 30 or more days before departure date are refundable minus the deposit per person.
  • Cancellations less than 30 days before departure date are non-refundable.
