POW POW POW everywhere! Hokkaido is not to be missed! The Adventure Project has been operating in Japan for years and knows many of the hidden stashes. Japan's culture and powder are out of this world. If you are looking for a fun outside of the US trip that offers the best powder on the planet, incredible food, and no lift lines then you found it. There is something for everyone on TAP's Hokkaido, Japan tours. Get onboard and get buried in the deepest snow around.

I had been on two trips to India with Matt in the past, so when he told he was starting a Japan tour I was really excited. After my first experience with him in Japan I have been back every year!!!! There is just nothing like it. From the culture and the people, to the food which is unreal, to the amazing accommodations Japan just rocks. You add to that the fact that it has to be the best powder skiing I have ever seen!!! You are getting fresh tracks on every run!!! Matt and his team, as always are very professional, with safety being first and fun in abundance!!!! If you want a trip to remember then head out to Japow!!!!!!

Had an incredible trip with “TAP” this past January. 11 days of skiing and we had fresh powder to ski all but one of those days. Got to ski 6 different areas for a truly unique experience. Was blown away by skiing the “back/side country at Kokusai. With out a doubt had one of my best backcountry days there with blue bird skies and waist deep pow! Lodging was great with amazing breakfast buffets at both Furano and Otaru. Have to had it to Grant for his great Minnesota driving skills, getting us safely to and from our skiing.

Can’t wait to return to Hokkaido with “TAP”.

Gorgeous photo by our guide, Grant

Matt was able to work with our limited window of opportunity and scheduled an amazing tour in Hokkaido for my family over Christmas and New Years 2018/19. Our fabulous guide, Grant, met us at the airport and helped us enjoy 10 days of skiing, touring, powder hunting, and just pure fun and adventure. Having someone who knew their way around was indispensable in the never ending snowing days, whiteout conditions, and just the foreignness of it all. From the drive from the airport, to checking in, to knowing where to get our ski passes, to knowing where the side country and backcountry we want is, to how those lunches work, Grant was an essential ingredient in making our time from start to finish well spent in pure fun and exploration. Not only a big help, but great company on the chairlift, on the slopes, and at dinner - a fun addition to our family.
The schedule was perfect - 5 days staying at the awesome New Prince Hotel, with the onsite Onsen, handcrafted shopping, and Furano itself all at hand and other areas a beautiful drive away. Then a side trip to Asahidake on our round about way to Otaru for 5 more days of going where we wanted for yet more fun days of skiing.
Before going, we thought, ok, this is a once in a lifetime trip. Now skiing in Japan is right back at the top of our list again - there's a lifetime of exploration to be had in that wonderland, and Matt and the Adventure Project was the perfect introduction!

Be of cake!!! Matt and Jeremy took care of our group so well. I had convinced 7 of my friends to join me for a birthday celebration in Japan. My 60th, a milestone event that has a special name in Japan: Kanreki. The enormous amount of snow we got didn't hurt either. Great turns, lots of laughs, good food, and no worries!!!
