Togari Onsen is an absolute gem on a powder day. Sure it might not be so good when the sun’s beating down and the temps rise, but on a cold snowy day it can be sublime.

When we visited we were the only ones riding the powder. That’s not entirely true because we saw ONE guy ONCE skiing the powder and whooping with glee! Otherwise the place was completely devoid of competition for the fresh snowy goodness of Togari Onsen!

Togari doesn’t have any long steep tree runs in-bounds, but rather short steep pitches with small trees and shrubs that are easy to navigate. On the other hand there are some great tree runs out-of-bounds.
