Kingfisher Heliskiing Packages
Kingfisher Heliskiing Packages are for private groups of 3, 6, 9 or 12. Of course you can have a group that doesn't exactly add up to these numbers, however the costs may be slightly higher per person as the magic number is 3 guests per helicopter load with 2 guides.
The minimum stay is 2-nights with 2-days of virtually unlimited heli skiing. Lodging starts the evening prior to the first day of heli skiing.
All packages include deluxe single accommodation rooms in the Lodge at Predator Ridge, virtually unlimited heli skiing guided by ACMG certified guides, gourmet meals prepared to your requested preferences, use of the new fleet of demo powder skis, all avalanche safety equipment, and ground transportation to and from the Kelowna International Airport. The concierge staff will also help to plan any part of your Kingfisher experience.
Where is Kingfisher Heli?
Kingfisher Heli is based in the Predator Ridge Resort located a few kilometers outside Vernon, British Columbia. We are easily accessible from Kelowna International Airport, approximately 30 minutes away.
The heli skiing takes place in the Monashee and Valhalla mountains, in a 296,000 acre tenure, 16 minute scenic flight from the base at Predator Ridge Resort.
For those wanting a warm up before heli skiing/boarding,
Silverstar Ski Resort is just up the road.
The Lodging & Meals
Each group of 3 will stay in a cozy 2-bedroom suite and a one bedroom suite at Predator Ridge Resort. Bedrooms have a king bed, en suite bathrooms, and a kitchen, living room and fireplace, as well as a private balcony that overlooks your helicopter pad.
Breakfast, lunch, après and dinner are included in your trip price and a collection of fine wines and other beverages are available a la carte for an additional cost.
The Kingfisher Ski Concierge can create an off-snow experience just for you—pre-arrival fridge stocking, morning yoga session, an après ski massage or almost anything else you can think of.
Guiding
Safety is paramount at Kingfisher Heli and they are one of the few operations that provide 2 guides (a lead guide and a tail guide) for every group of 3 skiers/boarders.
The minimum cert for a lead guide is CSGA 3, ACMG Ski Guide, or UIAGM Mountain Guide and CAA 2 or 3 and at least five years working as a lead guide and at least 15 years guiding experience (some have been guiding for over 25 years). Guides certifications are a minimum of CSGA 2, ACMG ASG and CAA 2.
Tail guides have a minimum of CSGA 1, CAA 1.
All guides have a minimum of 80 hour first aid with advanced protocols, and some are also licensed paramedics.
