La Vista Furano Hills

La Vista Furano Hills

La Vista Furano Hills Hot Spring is a modern hotel in downtown Furano near the station. A major drawcard is the onsen baths located on the top floor that include indoor baths, private baths, and outdoor baths where you can bathe whilst snow falls on your head.

As the name “La Vista” suggests, the hotel is one of the highest buildings in Furano and the onsen and some of the rooms offer lovely views across to the nearby Furano Ski Resort, as well as the more distant mountains in the Daisetsuzan National Park.

Where is La Vista Furano Hills?

La Vista Furano Hills Hot Spring Hotel is in downtown Furano, just a 4 minute walk (300m) from the Furano train station & 3km from the Furano Ski Resort. One of the benefits of staying in the town of Furano is the easy access to lots of restaurants.

The hotel offers two complimentary shuttles from the hotel to Kitanomine slopes, although the timing may be a little late if you’re chasing first lifts. For earlier departures there are inexpensive buses from Furano JR Station, which is just a few minutes walk away. The hotel doesn’t offer return shuttles, so you’ll need to catch one of the public buses back to Furano station.

Quality Great Value Hotel

29/01/2023
What a great hotel! Firstly having a hotel with an onsen in Furano is somewhat rare, but having baths outdoors perched up on top of a multi-storey buildings, offering views (from the hot pots) is truly unique. Both the indoor and outdoor baths were magnificent.

If you’re on a family holiday and want to only ski at Furano, then stay in Kitanomine or at the Prince Hotel, but if you have a car and want to use Furano as a base to ski Furano as well as other Central Hokkaido ski areas, then downtown is the spot to stay. There was plenty of car parking and La Vista is well located close to lots of restaurants.

It was a delightfully Japanese hotel, that despite having lots of international guests, it retained its Japanese character. This included lots of Japanese rules, including an emphasis on not going in the onsen if you have tattoos (this didn’t stop a few westerners).

The room was large for a “city” hotel, modern and quite functional.

Overall the hotel provided exceptional value.
