Sapporo Hotels on the Bus Route
If you're staying overnight in Sapporo City and taking a bus with Hokkaido Resort Liner to or from one of the ski resorts (such as
Niseko,
Rusutsu), you might want to stay at one of the hotels with a bus stop (for pick-ups and drop-offs) for the ultimate convenience.

Hotels Near Odori Park
Hotels near Odori Park are ideal if you’re visiting the Sapporo Snow Festival, and the area also provides easy access to Susukino.
The
Sapporo View Hotel is perfectly located for the Sapporo Snow Festival, right opposite the park. Some of the premium rooms offer views over the park and you can also watch the action of the festival from one of the breakfast buffet restaurants. The Powderhounds have stayed at this lovely 4 star hotel and can highly recommend it. The rooms are large and the hotel has lots of amenities and services.
Hotel Resol Trinity is located across the street from Odori Park. This 3 star hotel is well priced and has a range of western style rooms, a spa, and other amenities.
Sapporo Hotels in the Susukino Area
Susukino is an entertainment district and a great spot for tourists considering the abundant restaurants, shops, nightlife, and general buzz. If you're there for the Sapporo Snow Festival, there is a small strip of ice sculptures in Susukino or the main event at Odori Park is an easy walk away.
One of our favourite hotels in Sapporo is the
Mercure Hotel which is perfectly located amongst the shopping, nightlife and restaurants in Sapporo. The hotel has been refurbished and the rooms are a reasonable size and well furnished. The hotel also has a lovely French restaurant and bar if you don't want to go outside to face the cold. One of the main draw-cards of this hotel is that lots of the staff speak English and they have a very comprehensive and friendly concierge service. Considering the quality of the accommodation and service, the hotel tariffs are surprisingly inexpensive. And very conveniently, the hotel sits on the Hokkaido Resort Liner shuttle bus route to get to the ski resorts.
Sapporo Tokyo REI Hotel is located only 1 minute walk to the Susukino train station. This is a well priced 3 star hotel. We've stayed there and enjoyed the great location and reasonable rooms. In addition to being on the bus routes for the daily shuttles to Niseko, Rusutsu, or Tomamu, it’s also on the bus route to Sapporo Kokusai and Sapporo Moiwayama where you can visit for day trips.

Hotels Near JR Sapporo Station
If you are just looking for an easy access hotel for a night in Sapporo, these hotels are a good choice as they are very close to the JR Sapporo Station (assuming you are coming to or from Chitose Airport by train). The upmarket hotels near the station are very convenient if you’re only staying one night, but there’s not much action in this area.
For the ultimate convenient location, you could stay at the deluxe
JR Tower Hotel Nikko in the train station complex.

Sapporo Airport Accommodation
Staying in a New Chitose Airport hotel may be necessary if the timing between your flight and resort shuttle don’t quite align.
For the ultimate in convenience, the
Air Terminal Hotel is directly connected with the New Chitose Airport domestic terminal and provides access to an onsen. The
Portom International Hokkaido is also located at the airport international terminal.
