We visited on a Sunday and thought it might be really busy being a weekend, so we got there early (just before 10am!), but it wasn’t necessary as there was barely anyone there. We don’t feel guilty writing a review about this little gem because this is one of those tiny ski areas that probably needs a lot more patronage. Yet we did feel guilty only paying a meagre 1,000 yen for a 4 hour ticket!

It was suitably cold and there was fresh snow from a couple of days prior that was shin deep. We went exploring in the trees and had plenty of fun. Maybe just a few riders had been in the sidecountry the day prior, so there were lots of fresh tracks, and once we’d set a track along the canal, egress was easy.
