I joined the tour for the first time as a solo female traveller/snowboarder. I did have some trepidation in being solo and not knowing the group.
I had absolutely no need to worry- it was honestly one of the best weeks of my life. The group couldn’t have been more friendly or accommodating to new people, and Zac was amazing in his organisational skills and professionalism. We had so much variety in the mountains and resorts we visited, the dinners each night and the instruction and guiding we received on the mountain. A massive thank you to Zac, Matt and Shannon for all your instruction and fun. What a great group. I will be back!!

My 4th year in a row on tour with MV in Myoko Japan and as always it was an amazing experience. Regardless of how much snow there was the MV team and instructors flexibility and knowledge of each mountain ensured that each day was filled with learning and fun for everyone, regardless of their ability.

There is zero chance I would go with anyone else but them, I can't recommend them enough and am already looking forward to my 5th tour with them.

Had the tour recommended to me by a friend and it definitely delivered the goods! Zac and Andge do and awesome job keeping it fun and interesting so there’s never a dull moment. Started the tour as a complete first time snowboarder but with excellent instruction I’ve been converted and keen to get back into the powder! I’ll definitely will be returning in 2020!!

Well this is my second year in Myoko with the MV crew and I’m going to book my third tour very soon. Zac and Andge run an amazing inclusive tour. They are both awesome humans as well as providing a great service. They provide knowledge about the best ski runs, hidden powder stashes , and they leading in the apre ski area is pretty amazing too. This year saw four days of guiding / lessons and the best snow I’ve ever ever skied in. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this for anyone looking for a truly amazing riding experience in a hidden gem of Japan.

I never write reviews for anything, but MV I can't recommend them enough. From start to finish I had an amazing time. The people, the powder, the food and accommodation everything was well thought out there was never a point where i stopped enjoying myself. The instructor was enthusiastic and encouraging and I improved more than I thought I would. I will definitely be returning.

The MV Myoko venture is absolutely fantastic!

The accommodation is wonderful and feels like you are staying with friends rather than in a hotel. The common area in the hotels dining room is a great place to relax with a beer after a long days riding and make new friends.

The Venture itself is absolutely fantastic and the layout is perfect if you are wanting to improv your riding or even if you have never ridden. The 4 days of instructed guiding is Extremely well set up . Having a qualified instructor with you that is familiar to the local area is amazing when it comes to finding those "best day EVER" runs I literally had the best day ever riding, ever day!!!I can personally say that your riding is guaranteed to improve by the end of the week! This was my 4th venture with MV and my riding has continued to improve consistently each year.

The MV crew will take you to some absolutely amazing restaurants that have to be experienced to be believed! The sushi will blow your mind almost as much as the snow.

I cannot recommend this company enough for their professionalism and quality service they provide. come see for yourself and join me on my 5th tour with MV in 2020.

Epic beyond measure! So good I'm going for the 2nd year.

The 2018 trip with MV was my first international trip for snowboarding and with only 4 days of riding prior - I excelled massively because of this tour. Wow, what a tour. 2016 was my first tour in Japan after so many people recommending heading to the land of the rising sun. Zac and Andge were amazing, as the only skier in the tour I expected a bit of jibing. I got nothing but support and friendship. The tour provided us with guides thorough out the week and each night we headed out to a new venue to hang out with our new found friends. Zac and Andge have a great feel for the locals and customs, as a result we got to hang out in small restaurants and bars and really experience all that Myoko had to offer. I totally reccoment Mountain ventures to anyone wanting a ski or boarding adventure in Japan

I’ve never travelled, been over seas or even snowboarded serious terrain before MV Myoko.
I was so nervous and apprehensive and very nearly pulled the pin and bailed (AFTER I had paid and booked for everything!). But Zac called me and emailed me and answered all 101 of my novice traveller questions and was always contactable for even (what I thought was) the most insignificant details like “will I need more than one day for Disneyland Tokyo?”.

The MV crew had it all sorted. From things to do before or after the tour, extra experiences on the tour.. they’re clearly experienced in what they do.

Arriving in Myoko was a breeze and I didn’t need to worry about a single thing. I was able to stay longer, ride harder and do more at the drop of a hat.

Kazu and Moko from the resort we’re wonderful hosts and I really can’t wait to do it again. I’m very grateful for having met new people and shared this awesome adventure with them!

Mountain Ventures provided yet another amazing experience. After a great 1st trip last year I was compelled to return and do it all over again and I was once again not disappointed.

The accommodation, organisation, food, guidance and people on tour were all first class.

Actions speak louder than words. I wouldn't of come back for a 2nd trip if it was anything other than spectacular. It was and I did.

With this being my 1st trip to Japan and an intermediate snowboarder I didn't know what to expect with this tour, It was no surprise that it was an amazing week, from being in constant contact with Zac and Andge leading up to make sure we were on the same page and completely organised. As soon as I arrived in Myoko I didn't have to worry about a thing even when I turned up a couple of days early I was completely looked after! From breakfast to fully guided days of boarding with experienced instructors, then pre planned dinners I didn't need to worry about anything. Our ski in ski out accommodation is amazing, The snow was unbelievable everyday, with visiting different resorts everyday their local knowledge was invaluable, and constantly challenging me! each day through up something different. Fantastic people, organised perfectly I personally can't fault MV and the commitment and time they put in to make it an unforgettable experience, and that's why I've already committed to the January tour next year. 10/10 👍🏼👍🏼

I have been on tour with MV two times now 2016, 2017. Myoko is an amazing place the food, people and most of all the SNOW.... It doesn't take long to figure out the staff at MV have a serious passion for what they do. Zac your guide will make sure you experience the best Myoko has to offer and trust me he defiantly knows where to find some amazing food!! as for the snow, if you've never experienced Jpow get ready to have your mind blown! being guided through this winter wonderland, new terrain every day, amazing views and expert tuition. I seriously cannot recommend this company enough, from beginner to expert the guys at MV will have you hitting bigger steeper terrain the right way and with confidence. but don't take my word for it, come and experience it for yourself and join me on my 3rd tour in 2018.

Right from the point of first contact to the end of the tour Mountain Ventures were professional, organised and definitely prepared to put on a great week for everyone across the board.

Everything ran smoothly - from the transfers from the airport to our accommodation (Villa Monrepos) to the daily travel to and from the different ski resorts including having the lift passes prepared each morning and also the dinners each night - there was just no hiccups. This was a very important factor in having a good time for me, having been overseas on ski holidays organised by myself in the past I can 100% say it is worth every dollar when it goes as smoothly as this did.

Aside from the professionalism, both Zac and Andge from MV were fun to be around which was also very important. Having a random group of people come together for a week not knowing what they are like can be tough but they both did a great job in catering for everyone's different personalities and making sure we all had a quality time.

Zac's snowboarding knowledge was fantastic and as an instructor was able to quickly identify and advise on what I needed to do to be better. This was again, very important for me as I definitely want to improve myself as a snowboarder and more time with Zac on the snow will definitely allow me to learn and become better.

All in all, it was an incredible holiday and would 100% recommend to anyone wanting an amazing guided snow adventure.

Tour leader Zac was very helpful, patient, friendly, passionate snowboarder. Who was always willing to share his knowledge and give hints and tips throughout the entire trip. Zac and the Myoko snow sports instructor took us to different mountains each day, riding fresh powder through the trees and park. Always encouraging us to push your snowboarding skills further.

We stayed at villa monrepos a family owned Ski in ski out hotel with great food, cooked breakfast, cold tap beer, hot onsen bath and friendly staff and one very shy dog.

Myoko Progression Tour is very well price, would 100% recommend this tour if you want to improve your snowboarding skills and have a great time.

This tour exceeded all of my expectations. The week ran seamlessly with everything from dinners, going out, trips to local onsens, night boarding and transfers to and from different locations. The instruction I received on the snow was fantastic, my skills and ability improved significantly. Myoko itself was brilliant, it wasn't packed with tourists which I loved and finally the snow was out of control!

I had powder up to my knees which was insane.

I've been backcountry riding with Zac (owner of MVA) in Myoko Kogen in Jan 2016, and highly recommend him as a guide and the new tours he's operating. Zac has a lot of experience riding in Myoko and knows the mountains there very well.

He guided me through tree runs daily and made sure to ensure I avoided any dangerous gullies and slopes.
I hiked into the Akakura backcountry area with him and other ski instructors and Zac equipped me with all the safety equipment I needed and taught me how to use my transceiver and conduct a search in case anyone got buried. We were confident conditions were safe on the day we went out, but he still tested the snowpack to be sure before we dropped in.

I went over to Japan on my own and he was very welcoming and is a great guy. Meeting him and then all the people he knew at the instructor's school made for an awesome trip.

Having no experience with snowboarding or even snow for a matter of fact, the Mountain Ventures Myoko snow tour was beyond what I expected. Having such an easy approach vibe, the instructors where phenomenal, they had enough energy to keep us going even when we had big crashes. They made you feel like it wasn’t time to give up, but being able to go at our own pace was what helped a lot of the time. We went to a different mountain every day and got to experience quite a variety of terrain. We were lucky on our rest day it snowed for the entire day so when we got back out for our fourth day of snowboarding, we had started to pick up some considerable speed and because of all the fresh snow it was a soft landing, though digging yourself out of a half meter of powder sure is tiring. The hotels location couldn’t be better nestled on the side of a run you could wake up walk out the door and snowboard off to where ever for the day. The staff where unbelievable, they were very friendly and attentive; they would help with anything we needed. The building itself had a very warm vibe to it, the fireplace in the centre was an exceptional gathering area for just meeting up or even hanging out with other guests. The whole experience was unbelievable and unforgettable I enjoyed myself so much I will definitely be going back next year.

The only bad thing I could say about this tour is the countdown from when I booked till when I boarded my plane.

After arriving in Myoko Zac ensured that i was all settled in and an introduction to the "Whole Banana" crepe for the first afternoon and then the fun began..

A tonne of mountains, a tonne of snow and some new friends from different parts of the globe.

Zac takes the snow tour to the next level by not only looking after you on the mountains, but also off the mountain with all the great things Myoko has to offer..

A phenomenal tour! I can't recommend it enough. Run by Zac, a passionate, energetic guide who goes to every length to fulfill your snowboarding dreams! We boarded in completely different terrain everyday, ate a different kind of food each night and had some ridiculously good times. I'll be back next year, can't wait for more of that Japow!

The mountain adventures snowboarding tour was awesome the tour guide was helpful,easygoing and easy to approach making it easy to ask questions and chat. The instructor was helpful and and encouraging with lots of energy and gave you the chance to learn at your own pace. It was exciting getting to go to different mountains each day , trying them out and experiencing their different types of slopes and lifts each one offered. The hotel was homey and comfortable the staff friendly and helpful and made the end of each day so much more relaxing. Its fireplace offered an excellent meeting place that made it easy to meet up in the mornings and at night. All in all i had an excellent experience and hope to do it again next year. Before going on the tour i had a lot of questions and Zac was always easy to contact and was always willing and quick with his reply's.
