Shopping

SEABA Heliski Weeks, Haines Alaska
Big Sky shopping is somewhat limited, with only a little bit of retail therapy on offer. There’s no proper village at Big Sky Resort where you can stroll along and wander amongst the shops, and down in Town Center the strip of shops is very small. There are also other shops spread about the area, most of which are easily visited if you have a car.

Despite most of Montana having no sales tax, expect to pay 3% tax on all purchases at Big Sky.

Big Sky Ski Shops, Snowboard Stores

The largest Big Sky ski shop is Big Sky Sports which is located in the mall in Mountain Village. The shop has a good range of ski hardwear including boot fitting, and plenty of apparel from well respected brands, along with a myriad of ski and snowboard accessories.

You can make your best decisions in The Board Room, located on the lower level of the Village Center. This Big Sky snowboard shop has a demo program. Or there’s a good sized Burton shop in the Village Center in Mountain Village. In the same area is a North Face store.

A lovely ski boutique is located in The Summit Hotel where you can purchase a spiffy ski outfit from Bogner or another luxury clothing brand, and amazing après boots. The boutique also has general clothing and gifts.

Big Sky Town Center has several outdoor shops with a good range of ski and snowboard apparel, hardwear, and other necessities.

Souvenir Shopping

Lone Peak Logo in the Mountain Mall in Mountain Village sells an array of Big Sky souvenirs and logo wear. Or there’s a huge shop down in Town Center that sells an abundance of Big Sky and Montana souvenirs.

General Shopping Big Sky

Big Sky Town Center has several shops, but not enough to max out the credit card.

Chicks may want to visit Rhinestone Cowgirl which has some fun, albeit a little tacky, western clothing including cowgirl hats and boots.

Montana Supply has some cool clothing including Montana-esque gifts.

Grocery Shopping

Hungry Moose in Mountain Mall in Mountain Village has basic groceries and supplies and the all important bison jerky, but you’ll pay mountain dollars for groceries. There is also a Hungry Moose Market and Deli down in Town Center.

Roxy’s in Town Center is another option for groceries and fresh produce.

There are various supermarkets in Bozeman and Belgrade, so you might want to stock up before you arrive in Big Sky.

Grocery delivery services are available and Hungry Moose offers a kitchen stocking service.
