Silvertip Heliskiing Terrain & Snow
The Cariboos are the most northerly mountain sub-range of British Columbia’s vast Columbia Mountains that extend hundreds of miles from the interior of the province southwards to the Canada/USA border. They are known for their dry, reliable powder snow. Two of Canada’s very first helicopter skiing companies launched their operations here in the 1970s, and they are still active to this day.
The Silvertip Heli-Skiing tenure receives 60 plus feet (18.3 metres) of snow each season.
Silvertip Heli-Skiing has 1,440 square kilometres (356,000 acres) of tenure, with 118 named runs. The terrain at Silvertip is extremely varied. Wide open alpine vistas with deep untouched powder snow is mixed with some of the best tree skiing to be found anywhere. Some of the best terrain is only moments from the lodge so there’s no time lost driving to a staging area in the morning. Enjoy the quiet and stillness of this sensationally beautiful part of BC.
The packages include unlimited vertical and Silvertip guarantees a minimum of 30,000ft/9,200m for a 3 day trip, and up to 80,000ft/24,500m for a 7 day trip.
