Heli Skiing Argentina
Travelling to Argentina to enjoy its intriguing culture is amazing in itself, but to go heli skiing in Argentina is the absolute supreme way to experience this country and simultaneously score some superb powder skiing way up high in the Andes Mountains. The massive Southern Andes are spread across Chile and Argentina, and whilst there are various Chile heli skiing outfits, there are fewer Argentina heli skiing outfits. The huge mountains of Argentina feel truly endless and remote, and there is vast undiscovered backcountry terrain that is just begging for some heli skiing.
Mendoza Region Heli Skiing Argentina
The Mendoza region is located in the shadow of the towering Mt Aconcagua and is world renowned for its wine production, particularly the Malbec varietal. With
El Azufre Heli Skiing Argentina, you can combine your oenophilia with your love for powder skiing or snowboarding. The El Azufre heli skiing lodge is a short helicopter ride from Los Molles which is about 260 miles from Mendoza and not too far from Las Lenas Ski Resort. The Malbec wines pale into insignificance compared to the stunning peaks around the lodge where you can heli ski ridiculously long powder lines. The Argentina heliski packages are for a full week or mini week.
There used to be some heli skiing out of Las Lenas ski resort, but no longer. You’ll just have to pray that the Marte chair is open and dream that you’ll have all the powder to yourself (but you could just be dreaming!).
Patagonia Heli Skiing
Heliski Argentina operates further south in Patagonia. Argentina Heliski is based out of the little Argentinian town of Cholila which is approximately 200km (3 hours drive) south of Bariloche or 145km (2 hours drive) north of Esquel. Both Bariloche & Esquel have major airports and regular flights.
