Brambrüesch - Chur Ski Resort Switzerland
The Brambrueesch ski resort is a small, traditional Swiss skiing area perched high above the city of Chur and the Rhine River valley.
A ski trip to the Grisons/Graubuenden canton may well be best started with a day on family friendly Brambruesch, before moving on to more challenging locations like nearby Lenzerheide.

Skiing & Snowboarding, Lifts & Terrain
With 20km of piste trails over nearly 1,000m of vertical, Brambruesch provides a convenient starting point to stretch the legs before heading off to bigger & better things at Arosa & Lenzerheide. Perfect for a family friendly day out, the main base area (1,595m) has beginner trails and all the facilities for a fun day.

Brambrueesch is let down by its ski lifts, particularly where a gondola links with a T-bar which links with a chairlift - a very odd arrangement. The ski lift price is too expensive for what it provides, but it is Switzerland after all! Other things worth knowing include that there is no valley run (so everyone must download on the cable car) and the snow on the lower half of the mountain between Brambrueesch & Kuernzeli may be bony, so check it out on the way up in the gondola.
A beautiful ski tour from top of the resort at Dreibuedenstein (2,160m) is only a few km to Windegga at the top of the Churwalden ski lifts. Churwalden is part of the superb Lenzerheide ski resort.

Brambrueesch Accommodation
In addition to the obvious hotel & guesthouse accommodation in Chur, Brambrüesch has some lovely on mountain options in the ski resorts main base area at 1,595m. Mountain huts and hotels at Brambruesch provide a simple, cost-effective overnight experience. Access is via the gondola & cable car.

Brambrüesch Activities
The best part of small ski resorts near big cities is that they tend to provide a full range of non-ski activities to visitors. Sightseeing via the cable car & gondola, alpine dining, winter walking & sledding trails are but a few of the activities one can undertake if skiing is not on the agenda.
