Typical Itinerary

Arrival Day at Silvertip Lodge

Guests fly from Vancouver BC, Canada, Air Elite terminal building to the Williams Lake Airport (YWL) in the morning. From Williams Lake Airport, a helicopter transports guests for a 45 minute flight to Silvertip Lodge. The Silvertip staff will be waiting for your arrival in Williams Lake to handle any final details of your trip, ensuring that you start your heli-skiing holiday as soon as you arrive at the lodge. From Vancouver International Airport (YVR), the estimated total travel time is approximately 2.5 hours to Silvertip Lodge.

Once at the lodge, you will be served a delicious lunch, and then the ski guides will provide guests with a thorough safety orientation. In the afternoon you can settle in, enjoy the spa facilities, and relax.

Ski/Snowboard Days

A hot breakfast begins at 8am.

At 9am the helicopter takes you up for a breathtaking morning of heli-skiing or snowboarding. Guests have access to unlimited vertical and Silvertip guarantees a minimum of 30,000ft/9,200m for a 3 day trip, and up to 80,000ft/24,500m for a 7 day trip.

Guests return to Silvertip Lodge an hour before sunset to enjoy delicious après-ski snacks and drinks, and the option of a dip in the hot tub, a sauna, or a relaxing massage. A gourmet dinner is prepared by the Silvertip chefs and served at 7pm.

Final Ski Day

On the final day of your Silvertip tour, breakfast will be served at 7am. Guests will enjoy their last morning heli-skiing/snowboarding, and then prepare to catch the helicopter to the Williams Lake airport. From Williams Lake you will catch the charter flight to Vancouver.

Silvertip Lodge

Silvertip Lodge radiates comfort and ambience amidst a wild and untamed setting. Its special warmth comes from a Finnish Tulikivi soapstone stove that produces a radiant heat. The atmosphere and flavour at Silvertip can be categorized as rustic luxury. The 7,248 sq.ft lodge was originally built in 1967 and has been substantially renovated and updated since that time.

The great room living area features high, western-style vaulted ceilings over a large open living/common area with overstuffed chairs, a billiards table, a quaint western style bar, and large dining area.

The decor consists of handmade woodwork, comfortable furniture, hunting trophies from a bygone era, and intriguing photos of the local wildlife, mountains, and recreation.

Up on the second floor, there are six charming guest rooms, all fully furnished and each with a private ensuite bath. Two additional guest rooms with private ensuite bath are on the third level.

The Spa

Discover your sanctuary within the spa building adjacent to the lodge. The hot tub overlooks the magnificent lake whilst the massage room, steam room, sauna and exercise decks are the perfect setting to renew muscles and prepare for tomorrow’s epic adventure. A full-time massage therapist will untie knotted muscles and free your fascia.

Dining

Great food and drink are an essential part of the Silvertip experience. At the end of an epic day, or to power up for the day yet to come, the renowned chefs create culinary experiences to savour.

Meals are served in the main dining area which has a casual atmosphere. The bar offers a wide variety of top-flight beverages and a first-class wine list is always available. The personal service will remind you why you made the journey.

Other

Wi-Fi is available throughout the main lodge. This is a Satellite system and is great for keeping in touch via email while at the lodge. It is not designed for streaming videos, downloading large data files, or video conferencing. Don’t expect the same speeds as you get at home.

Activities

The lakefront location gives non-skier guests plenty to do. Guests have access to fishing gear and boats for winter fishing; cross-country ski equipment with set trails through the woods or along the beach; snowshoe equipment for those who like to break trail; or take a leap off the dock for a customary polar bear dip.

COVID-19 Policy | Effective on tours booked after March 15, 2021

Guest cancellation due to COVID-19

The 25% deposit is fully refundable until 120 days prior to the tour start date. Alternatively, guests can use this deposit as credit towards the 2022 ski season.

The final 75% payment is fully refundable until 90 days prior to the start of the tour.

In the event that a guest is prohibited from leaving their home country or from entering Canada due to COVID-19, Silvertip Lodge will offer a credit equal to the 2022 rate of the package the guest purchased in 2021. This credit will be applied towards a trip during the 2022 ski season.

Should a guest want to cancel within 90 days, for reasons not due to COVID-19 travel bans, the standard Silvertip Lodge cancellation policy will take effect.

Silvertip Lodge cancellation due to COVID-19

Silvertip Lodge will continue to comply with all Public Health Agency of Canada standards and all Canadian Government recommendations regarding tourism business practices. Should Silvertip Lodge be required to cancel tours due to COVID-19, all guests affected will receive a full refund.

Silvertip Lodge reserves the right to cancel tours at any time prior to the start of a tour should there not be enough guests due to COVID-19 cancellations. Affected guests will be offered a refund, credit or change of date option during the current ski season

Deposits & Payments
At Silver Tip Lodge Heliskiing, availability is limited. When you have made the decision to join us on this adventure, it is important to quickly secure your seat. At the time of booking, a deposit must be received in the amount of 25% of the trip total.

All initial deposits are non-refundable.

The final balance of your booking account will be due 90 days prior to the start date of your Heliski Tour, or by 01 November (whichever date comes first). Bookings made after 01 November are to be paid in full at time of booking. All payments made after 01 November are non-refundable.

Payments may be made via Electronic Transfer, Bank Wire, Cheque, Direct Deposit or Credit Card.

If final payment is not received by its due date, Silver Tip Lodge Heliskiing reserves the right to cancel the reservation without notice and the deposit will be forfeited.

Cancellation (by you)
Hoping it will never be the case, but as life sometimes has a way of throwing you a curve ball, cancellations can happen. If you are in need of cancelling your trip with us, all cancellations must be submitted to us in writing. Any cancellations received prior to the Final Payment due date (01 Nov) will have all payments LESS the initial deposit refunded. If the cancellation is received after the Final Payment due date, or 01 November, no refunds will be issued.

Travel Insurance
Silver Tip Lodge Heliskiing highly recommend making the decision to insure your trip for anything that may happen unexpectedly causing you to cancel, or which interrupts your travels. After 01 November, this is your only option for refund if cancellation is needed.

Currency
All rates are posted in Canadian Funds and are subject to change at any time. All payments received in foreign currencies will be exchanged to Canadian Dollars, and as exchange rates fluctuate, we will credit the client’s booking with the exchange rate offered that day at our bank. You will be notified of any balances outstanding or due to you.

Heli-Skiing Waiver
All Clients are required to sign a Release of Liability Waiver in the presence of a Silver Tip Lodge Employee and are required to attend a Safety Orientation and Helicopter Safety briefing during their current stay at our facility, and prior to skiing.

Cancellation (by Silver Tip Lodge Heliskiing)
Silver Tip Lodge Heliskiing Ltd. reserves the right to cancel a Heliskiing Package to its total discretion. In this event, your deposits and payments received will be refunded in full, or transferred to possible alternative dates.

Guarantees
We are happy to offer unlimited skiing to our Private Heli-ski guests. If, due to weather or mechanical issues, we are not able to achieve a guarantee of 7 hours Heli-time for Skiing, you will be refunded/credited $3000/hour for Helicopter time below 7 hours not used. This credit will be placed as a Credit on File to be used towards a future trip.

There will be no refunds to those who choose not to participate in any ski activities, or return early to the Lodge.

Skill level of the group, snow conditions and weather play huge roles in how much vertical is skied in a day/week.
