Bergeralm ski resort has modern lifts & over 1,100m of leg-muscle testing skiable vertical. Located near the village of Steinach am Brenner & the border of Austria & Italy, Bergeralm is easy to get to from Innsbruck. Bergeralm is one of the 13 ski resorts covered by the Ski+City Pass.
The 30km of piste trails at Bergeralm, plus the even spread of slope difficulty for all abilities & long top to bottom runs of over 6km, make it a great place to do awesome turns away from the crowds. The ski area also boasts the unusual expeience of skiing under a major motorway!

Interlinked Lift Ticket with Ski+City Pass
Bergeralm already has a good value ski lift pass, however the resort is also part of Innsbruck’s Ski plus City Pass area which includes 13 ski resorts ranging from the small, like Nordkette, Oberperfuss & Patscherkofel, the in-between like Axamer Lizum & Schlick 2000, up to the larger such as Stubai Glacier and Kuhtai (the highest resort base in Austria). A Ski +city pass is for a minimum 2 days and allows unlimited access to all 13 ski & sled resorts, plus a wide range of attractions in the city of Innsbruck.

Where is Bergeralm Austria?
The Bergeralm ski resort is in the Wipptal of the Austrian Tyrol, only 20km south of the world’s greatest ski city, Innsbruck. The A13 motorway to the Brenner Pass (& Italy) runs directly below the ski area, and with a valley trail going under the elevated roadway near the resort base! The closest village is Steinach am Brenner. The resort is an easy 10min (700m) walk from the centre of the village. The best airports for Bergeralm are Innsbruck (INN) & Munich (MUC).
The recommended mode of travel from the airports is by train via Innsbruck. Steinach has its own railway station (bahnhof) with services every 30min for the 20min journey to/from Innsbruck Hbf, the Brenner Pass & Italy (Bolzano). The bahnhof is a 15min walk or short shuttle bus ride to/from the ski resort base area. In winter a free ski bus goes to/from the Steinach train station and the ski lift base every 30 minutes, meeting the trains from Innsbruck.

Bergeralm Accommodation
Bergeralm’s position just off the A13 motorway to the Brenner Pass is coupled with a convenient location next to the village of Steinach am Brenner. The town has numerous hotels, guesthouses, chalets & apartments for visitors. Two are at the ski lift base providing ski-in ease - the new Bergeralm Chalets & the JUFA Hotel (a modern youth hostel style hotel) .
