Zurich Airport (ZRH) to Ski Resort Transfers
Zurich Airport in the northeast of Switzerland is amongst the best in Europe & quieter than Geneva during the ski season. Zurich International Airport (ZRH) provides the flight gateway for all several amazing powder-hounds ski resorts including Andermatt Sedrun & Engelberg, plus a vast array of ski resorts in canton Graubünden including Arosa, Davos Klosters, Lenzerheide, Laax & St Moritz. Zurich is an excellent entry point for non-European travellers heading to Austria, particularly the Vorarlberg resorts (Damuels, Lech, Zürs etc.) & all the classic western Tirol ski areas including Ischgl, Pitztal Glacier, Sölden & St Anton.
Transport links from the airport are excellent by train, particularly to places like Andermatt, Arosa, Davos Klosters, Engelberg, St Anton & St Moritz, however private transfers from the direct to your hotel at the ski resort may suit a range of ski travellers. Travel times by road from Zurich airport to the major Swiss ski areas of Engelberg & Andermatt plus around the Graubuenden capital of Chur are a little under 1½hr, making a direct transfer quick, convenient & financially viable, particularly if in a group of 2 or more. The most distant major Swiss ski resort commonly accessed via Zurich is St Moritz, only 2½hr by private transfer. In Austria, the Ski Arlberg resorts of Lech, St Anton & Zuers are just over 2hr drive from Zurich airport, with Ischgl 2.5hr by road.
