Itinerary
Tour itineraries start and finish in Munich, Germany. The Bavarian city of Munich is superbly located just north of the Alps and its airport is convenient for flights from UK, European & intercontinental origins (Nth America, Asia, Oceania). Upon arrival you will be greeted by the driver to begin the adventure in your comfortable Mercedes van. The tours spends three nights in the heart of Germany's best ski region at Garmisch Partenkirchen. Ski days include at Garmisch Classic & the high-altitude Zugspitze. Other activities include a horse-drawn carriage tour through historic Partenkirchen with mulled wine to warm you up along the way.
Departing Garmisch the group gets priority access for a guided tour of the stunning Neuschwanstein Castle & environs before heading across the border to the Arlberg & St Anton for three nights. Two full ski days in the region regarded by Powderhounds.com as the world’s absolute best is something that not everyone gets a chance to do. Add in the lively après ski sessions and a ski-in ski-out hotel for the perfect Austrian Alps stay.
Next stop is the beautiful downtown of Innsbruck for a guided walking tour, before heading over the Brenner Pass to Italy and the gob-smacking Dolomites. Based in Alta Badia, ski for mile after mile in the Dolomiti Superski region, then be led around the famous Sella Ronda, before heading back to wonderful Munich for an evening guided walking and a night in the old town. Of course, being a private custom tour you can alter the itinerary according to your group's wishes, ski ability & aspirations; however the suggested program has been curated for one good reason - it combines all the best bits of this fabulous part of the world into a coherent & time efficient tour package.

The Skiing
The tour takes in the best skiing in Germany, Austria & the Dolomites of Italy. Starting in Germany just a short drive from Munich, Garmisch Classic is home to wonderful pistes including World Cup standard descents. Nearby Zugspitze is the nation's highest & most snow sure, topping out at 2,720m. Getting to the top of Zugspitze is half the fun of skiing here, with incredible cable car and funicular rides a real bonus.
The “cradle of alpine skiing”, St. Anton is where it is often said that modern skiing was born. With a variety of slopes for beginners and experienced skiers alike, along with the beautiful scenery & many mountain villages, St. Anton ski resort makes for the perfect winter getaway. Part of a huge, interlinked area with over 300km of ski trails called Ski Arlberg, the tour guide will make sure you’re well oriented and provide recommendations for the best spots to ski, eat & drink. With two full days in the region, the group will be able to visit renown villages like Lech, Stuben, & Zürs, plus even venture across to Warth Schroecken.
In Italy, the tour base at Alta Badia is in the heart of the world's largest network of skiing, the Dolomiti Superski region. The skiing is amongst an amazing landscape of peaks unlike anywhere les in the world. Whilst the group will be guided around the famous Sella Ronda circuit, there will also be opportunities over the two days to ski to toward Cortina d’Ampezzo, the Marmolada Glacier, and also to check out Italy's most popular ski resort, Val Gardena.
Lodging & Meals
A range of 4-star or better hotels are utilised during the 3-Country European Ski Trip. Examples include the ski-in ski-out Hotel Hit the Sky in St Christoph, the Hotel Zugspitze in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Hotel Eden Wolff in Munich.
Breakfast is included for the duration of the tour, plus 2 dinners are included at the start of the trip. The second dinner is a Bavarian cooking course where you will learn how to make pretzels, Bavarian beer cheese, and more before feasting on it all! Lunches and other dinners not included in the tariff can be had at convenient times and places. The guide will advise on wonderful lunch locations in the ski resorts & during the city tour of Innsbruck. Dinners can be sought at each hotel, or for a more interesting experience, in the nearby villages.
The guide will direct the group to the region's best après ski location for after-ski shenanigans, including the classic St Anton venue called the Krazy Kangaruh. Mulled wine is included during the evening horse-drawn carriage tour of Partenkirchen.
Ski Ability & Gear
As these are private tours, all ski & snowboard abilities can be catered for; however it is best for all participants to be of a similar level of ability & experience. To make the most out of the trip, it is recommended that all skiers & snowboarders be of at least intermediate standard, plus of reasonable fitness.
Ski & snowboarding gear are not included in the tour price. You are advised to bring your own ski & snowboard gear on the trip, however it is possible to rent gear for the tour. Let the tour operator know you require rental gear so it can be included.
Transport
From the moment you are picked up at Munich Airport, all transportation to all destinations is in Mercedes V Class vans with comfortable seating for each person & your own experienced driver. For groups of more than four, there will be two vehicles minimum, giving everyone plenty of space when in transit.
