Itinerary

The Bavarian city of Munich is superbly located just north of the Alps and its airport is convenient for flights from UK, European & intercontinental origins (Nth America, Asia, Oceania). Upon arrival you will be greeted by the driver to begin the adventure in your comfortable Mercedes van. The tours spends three nights in the heart of Germany's best ski region at Garmisch Partenkirchen. Ski days include at Garmisch Classic & the high-altitude Zugspitze. Other activities include a horse-drawn carriage tour through historic Partenkirchen with mulled wine to warm you up along the way.

Departing Garmisch the group gets priority access for a guided tour of the stunning Neuschwanstein Castle & environs before heading across the border to the Arlberg & St Anton for three nights. Two full ski days in the region regarded by Powderhounds.com as the world’s absolute best is something that not everyone gets a chance to do. Add in the lively après ski sessions and a ski-in ski-out hotel for the perfect Austrian Alps stay.

Next stop is the beautiful downtown of Innsbruck for a guided walking tour, before heading over the Brenner Pass to Italy and the gob-smacking Dolomites. Based in Alta Badia, ski for mile after mile in the Dolomiti Superski region, then be led around the famous Sella Ronda, before heading back to wonderful Munich for an evening guided walking and a night in the old town. Of course, being a private custom tour you can alter the itinerary according to your group's wishes, ski ability & aspirations; however the suggested program has been curated for one good reason - it combines all the best bits of this fabulous part of the world into a coherent & time efficient tour package.

The Skiing

The tour takes in the best skiing in Germany, Austria & the Dolomites of Italy. Starting in Germany just a short drive from Munich, Garmisch Classic is home to wonderful pistes including World Cup standard descents. Nearby Zugspitze is the nation's highest & most snow sure, topping out at 2,720m. Getting to the top of Zugspitze is half the fun of skiing here, with incredible cable car and funicular rides a real bonus.

The “cradle of alpine skiing”, St. Anton is where it is often said that modern skiing was born. With a variety of slopes for beginners and experienced skiers alike, along with the beautiful scenery & many mountain villages, St. Anton ski resort makes for the perfect winter getaway. Part of a huge, interlinked area with over 300km of ski trails called Ski Arlberg, the tour guide will make sure you’re well oriented and provide recommendations for the best spots to ski, eat & drink. With two full days in the region, the group will be able to visit renown villages like Lech, Stuben, & Zürs, plus even venture across to Warth Schroecken.

In Italy, the tour base at Alta Badia is in the heart of the world's largest network of skiing, the Dolomiti Superski region. The skiing is amongst an amazing landscape of peaks unlike anywhere les in the world.
