Lech Arlberg Freeride Day
A Day to Ski As Much Powder as Possible!
Starting in Lech, explore the best snow & terrain in the resorts of Ski Arlberg with a professional guide on this off-piste freeride ski tour. The objective is simple - find as much powder as possible. Ski for the whole day and ride long descents, secret runs, freeride classics, plus a little short skinning to get to the top locations. You can join this tour from Zurs, St Anton, Stuben, Zug or St Christoph, you just need to get to Lech early in the morning. Join a fixed date tour in February.
The goal is clear: find powder if possible and do as many runs as the group can. All under the supervision and direction of your guides which hold the highest possible guiding and safety qualification there is in Austria.

Daily Program
The day will follow a simple program - your group will meet at a pre-determined location near the ski lifts in the centre of Lech at around 9:00am. The group will spend the morning and afternoon finding the best snow on the mountain and in between will have lunch together at a mountain restaurant. After skiing, with some knowledge passed on from the guide, you can experience the sights & nightlife of Lech.
There is an opportunity to do some ski-touring ‘to go a little further’ but clarify this with the guide before the tour starts.
Guides
All guides on the tour are full time professionals with the highest Austrian qualifications as ski instructors & off-piste ski guides. All are multilingual in English, German & Italian. Maximum group size per guide is 8 guests.
Ski Ability
This tour is best suited to strong skiers – i.e. advanced & expert skiers with off-piste ski experience in variable conditions and looking to explore new zones. The guide can provide advice & skills development whilst showing you the best ski areas the region has to offer, but instruction is not a focus of the tour.

Getting to Lech
Travel to Lech for the start of the tour will usually be for those already in the Arlberg region. Anyone staying in St Anton, Stuben, St Christoph or Zürs should be able to participate in the tour, provided you are able to get to Lech before 9am. Anyone in Warth-Schroecken will not be able to join a tour due to the only connection being via the ski lifts. For more detailed information, see our Travel to Lech page.
