Itinerary
Upon arrival at Mo i Rana (MQN) airport, pick up your waiting rental car and self-drive at your own pace along Ranfjorden to your accommodation at Utskarpen (42km distance). The standard tour includes 3-nights at the luxurious Til Elise Fra Marius. Each morning, following a gourmet breakfast, you will drive with your ski guide to a different location in the surrounding mountains for a day of the finest backcountry ski touring, before heading back to the lodge for another amazing dining experience. At night you may be able to view the breathtaking Northern Lights.
At the end of the third ski day, drive back to Mo i Rana airport for departure. Additonal nights of accommodation, additional ski days, or alternative activities can be added for a fully customised experience in the region.
Flights to/from Mo i Rana airport come from Oslo (OSL) via Trondheim (BRD). Flights can also come via Bodø but are longer in duration.
Lodging & Meals
All accommodation & meals are included in the tour tariff and are based at the exceptional Til Elise Fra Marius in Utskarpen. Idyllically located between fjords and mountains, the lodge features beautiful bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a shared living space and sauna.
All meals are all included in the tariff. Breakfast & dinner are taken in the restaurant Fra Marius. The chef is Marius himself who is in charge of the food concepts. All his life he has gathered knowledge and experimented with ingredients in order to find the best flavours. Even a simple dish should be nothing short of perfect! The final night's dinner is 12-courses of fine dining excellence. Lunches will be taken 'picnic style' out in the mountains.
Ski Ability, Fitness & Gear
As this is a private tour, all ski & splitboard abilities can be catered for, however it is beneficial for all participants to have had some previous ski-touring experience AND be of a similar level of ski ability.
If all participants are physically fit, it assists in the overall enjoyment of the backcountry ski experience.
Ski-touring & splitboarding gear (including avalanche safety equipment) is not included in the tour price. It is best to bring your own equipment, however if you wish to rent, the tour operator can arrange ski & splitboard gear &/or avalanche safety equipment.
