Best of Norway Ski Tour
Experience the Best Snow Conditions in Norway 'Of The Moment'
Norway's mountain ranges form an impressive and rugged landscape that spans the country's entire length. The Scandinavian Mountains run along the western coastline, extending for about 1,700km from the southern tip to the northern region of Finnmark, and reach an altitude of 2,469m (Galdhøppigen, Jotunheimen). From 60° to 70° north, they offer a world of possibilities for ski-touring/splitboarding all winter. So grab your skis or splitboard and let yourself be guided to the best Norwegian snow of the moment!
The Concept
When you spend so much time skiing in Norway, something obvious comes to mind: all through the season, there is always somewhere with great snow. So why not go straight to it?
With extensive experience in the Norwegian mountains, knowledgeable guides, and strong local networks, Up Guides can guarantee you'll be taken to the best skiing & splitboarding locations.
How do we do that?
• The guide and group meet up in Oslo (airport or train station).
• You jump in the minibus or the next flight.
• The guide leads you straight to the best spots, ensuring you have a top-notch experience and make the most of snow and weather conditions.
• Rest assured, the guide will handle all the logistics seamlessly on the go.
The tour location will be chosen just prior to the start date. It might be the Sunnmøre region near Stranda, Lofoten Islands, Lyngen Alps, Finnmark, or somewhere close to Oslo.
Accommodation & Meals
Due to the 'last minute' nature of the tour, accommodation and meals are not included in the tariff. The guide will work out all the logistics and the costs will be split between the participants. All last-minute bookings will match what's available to the level of accommodation you wish for. You can count on spending around €1,000 for a 4-day trip and €1,500 for a 6-day trip, to fully cover your food and accommodation costs.
Your Guide
Jonas is the lead guide for this adventure. Born and raised in the Norwegian mountains, Sunnmøre and Romsdalen are his home region, but he's been skiing Norway from North to South. He followed the international ski touring course "Ski og Skred", where he developed a "powder nose" and essential safety management skills. Jonas's expertise is further validated by his international certification (IFMGA).
Importantly, Jonas is not just a guide, he's a great guy who is putting the joy of skiing first, ensuring you have safe and memorable experience!
