Otoe Cat Skiing Packages

Otoe NAC Cat Skiing will not be operating for the 2022/23 season.

A day or more of NAC Otoe cat skiing is the perfect addition to a trip to the Asahikawa or Furano area. If staying in Asahikawa, you can enjoy all that this city has to offer and its energetic vibe and also revel in the deep fresh powder. Or Furano offers a great ski resort and easy access to other nearby ski resorts. 

NAC Cat Skiing Japan is great for skiers of strong intermediate ability and up (and advanced snowboarders and uo), but it’s particularly well suited to up and coming powder hounds and first time cat skiers, or those looking for a relaxed day of powder skiing.

The Otoe Powder Cat tour package includes a day (8:30am-4pm) of cat skiing, guiding, and use of an avalanche beacon. An amazing lunch is taken in a local restaurant, after which you can go back outside to feast on some more powder.

All the face shots can be captured by the staff who are on hand to take photos and video, but feel free to BYO camera as well.

Cat skiing is available as either a group tour where you join others and pay per person, or a private tour where you pay for the snowcat and have your own group of up to 12 people.

Ability Level

The required minimum ability level is intermediate skiers and advanced snowboarders and you need to have experience with riding powder. Riders should feel comfortable on any run at one of the Hokkaido ski resorts including trees and gullies. You should be a fit and strong skier or snowboarder, but you don't have to be an expert.

Backcountry skiing is not for beginner skiers. If you aren't sure, please make a booking enquiry.

The age requirement is 13 years old and over. Ages 16 to 19 years are welcome to go cat skiing by themselves, but a waiver form must be signed by a guardian.

NAC Terms & Conditions

General
1. Payment for NAC’s activity constitutes acceptance of our terms and conditions.
2. You and the participants who are named on the bookings recognize any outdoor activity may involve certain dangers, including but not limited to accidents or illness in remote places, forces of nature, and the actions of participants and persons. You must understand and agree NAC would not be able to offer its courses and activities without a means of protecting its assets and employees.
3. You must agree to RELEASE AND INDEMNIFY NAC from any and all liabilities, claims and courses of actions arising out of or in any way connected with you in any activities offered by NAC. You personally assume all risks in connection with these activities.
4. The accidental insurance covers, Hospitalization: 3,000yen/a day (from the first day) Outpatient care: 2,000yen/a day (from the first day) Death: 3,800,000yen *Third party injury and property damage are not covered
5. You must understand that during the course of my activity photographs may be taken and these will remain the property of NAC to be used at their discretion.
6. Please arrive with your ski/snowboard equipment ready to use.
7. Payment must be made in full prior to start of the tour.
8. Tour will not be extended or rescheduled due to the late arrival of the guest for any reason.
9. To be eligible for any refund due to sickness or injury, you must present a valid medical certificate within 24hours of your tour.
10. Cancellation charge

Please pay within 10 days to secured and confirm your booking.
Bookings not paid within 10 days will automatically be cancelled.
From 2 week to a day before 50% will be charged for any cancellations.
Cancellation on the day, 100% will be charged.
11. For booking that come in 2 week or 2 days before the tour. Send Paypal on that day and the customer should pay by the next day by 6:00pm. If the payment has been made by 6:00pm then the booking is secured, if the customer haven't made the payment then automatically cancel.
12.The bookings are only confirmed upon payment.
13. Please don't drink alcohol before the tour.

Tours
1. The tour might be canceled by NAC in case there is any possibility of danger.
2. Mountain guides do not teach you how to ski or snowboard.
3. Guide will keep the pace for the least advanced person.
4. Please inform us if you have any allergies of food in advance.
