Hamon Lodge
Hamon Lodge in Hakuba has a distinctly Japanese feel with traditional décor such as tatami flooring and shoji screens in the rooms, along with beautiful wooden furniture, yet it has some great features that are well appreciated by westerners such as comfortable beds, a relaxing living area, and a restaurant and bar where you can enjoy a cold beer.

The delightful rooms have warm lighting, soft timber finishes, traditional tatami flooring and original shoji screens that reflect a true Japanese style ryokan, representative of the real rural mountain village accommodation you’d expect in Japan.
The rooms are warm, have comfortable mattresses on beds that are up off the floor, and have plenty of space for all your luggage requirements.

- Standard double/twin – beds can be configured as a double or 2 single beds
- Mountain view double/twin - beds can be configured as a double or 2 single beds, lovely views of the mountains
Bathroom facilities are shared which includes an onsen style wet room in-house, so you can soak after a long day on the hill and rest those weary muscles.
Where is Hamon Lodge Hakuba?
Hamon Lodge is located ski-in ski-out to a beginner run at the Hakuba Tsugaike Ski Resort, which offers the best sidecountry and backcountry terrain in Hakuba. The lodge is located 450m walk from the Tsugaike Gondola or it’s very easy to ski down to the gondola.
Tsugaike has its own distinctly Japanese village that has a smattering of restaurants and bars so you’ll be well fed and watered. The lodge offers easy access to local village shuttles services so you can explore the Hakuba Valley in its entirety.
