Akakura Kanko Hotel
Established in 1937, the Akakura Kanko Hotel with red roof and white exterior is the symbol of the Akakura Kanko Ski Resort at Myoko Kogen. The hotel was fully refurbished in recent years and is the crown of Myoko Kogen when it comes to accommodation.
This hotel has very few westerners staying at it so be prepared for a very Japanese experience.
Where is the Akakura Kanko Resort and Spa?
The hotel is located right in the middle of the slopes of Akakura Onsen Ski area of
Myoko Kogen and is absolutely ski-in/ski-out.
This hotel is not particularly well located for easy access to the Akakura Onsen or Akakura Kanko villages. A shuttle bus runs to/from the hotel and downtown Myoko Kogen however it only operates until 6pm so if you are heading into town for dinner you will need a return taxi.
To get there you can get an
airport to Myoko bus.
