The Gozan is the five mountain system of Zen, and in this little patch of powder paradise, you’ll find your own zen.
It is a beautiful lodge that has been tastefully renovated and has retained some of its Japanese décor. The communal spaces are large and ideal for relaxing after a big day on the slopes.
The best way to experience the best of Myoko and surrounding ski resorts is to stay at Gozan Lodge as part of a
Gozan Explorer Tour. Pull together your own group and your guide will drive you to different ski areas and show you the powder stashes.
Where is Gozan Lodge?
The lodge is located in the Suginosawa Onsen Village at the base of the
Suginohara Ski Resort of Myoko. It is only 1-2 minute walk to the closest lift (Suginohara Pair Lift #2) and you can almost ski back to the door.
Naena Onsen is half a minute walk away and there is a small convenience store within walking distance of the lodge.
It’s a 1 minute walk to the bus stop which will get you to the four other resorts in Myoko (Ikenotaira, Akakura Kanko +Onsen & Seki Onsen) as well as other areas.

Gozan Lodge offers guest rooms that have the comfort of western beds plus Japanese décor touches such as tatami flooring. All rooms utilise shared bathrooms.

Or you can book out the whole lodge as a catered chalet (meals provided) with 5 rooms and 2 bathrooms (14 guests max).

Dining & Bar
Half board is offered ie breakfast & dinner.
Breakfast is European buffet style.
Dinner is 3 courses and the fare is inspired by mountain cuisine from around the world. Fresh produce and meats are 100% sourced from Japan. Everyone dines as a Gozan family at 7pm, alpine hut style.
Gozan Lodge has a licensed bar which specialises in Japanese craft beer, organic wine, and seasonal cocktails. The bar opens at 4pm and bar snacks are available during apres-ski time.
