Japow House is a renovated lodge in the Akakura Onsen area of Myoko that is owned by a local Japanese skier & snowboarder, who also offers backcountry guiding services. You’ll get a nice cultural experience & you can hang out in the lounge bar and enjoy Japanese cuisine and drinks.

Where is Japow House 1.0?
Japow House in
Myoko is located in a quiet forested area where you can relax and unwind. The Akakura Onsen main street and the slopes are a 600 metre walk from the lodge. A morning shuttle can be provided to the Akakura slopes, although most people find the walk easy.
An arrival and departure shuttle service to/from the Myoko bus stop can be provided.

Japow House has 9 guest rooms. All rooms utilise communal bathrooms.
Double Bed Room

- Traditional Japanese style guest room with tatami mat floors, yet with the comfort of a western bed
- Bed sets up as 1×double

Twin Room
- up to 2 guests
- Japanese décor including tatami mat floors, but comfort of western beds
- Beds can be set up as 2×singles or 1×king
Japanese Style Room
- Ideal for 2 guests
- Traditional Japanese style room with futons on top of tatami mat flooring
- 2 futons, with room for an extra futon if necessary
Twin Room Large
- Up to 2-3 people
- Traditional Japanese style guest room with tatami mat floors, yet with the comfort of western beds
- Bed can be set up as 2×singles or 1×king and a large sofa can be an extra bed if necessary
