Myoko Forest Lodge

Myoko Forest Lodge is a beautifully renovated inn that features modern Scandi-Japanese styling including exposed timber, shoji windows, tatami flooring and a large ofuro mineral bath. The lodge has a lovely communal lounge and dining area with an open fire, and great chef prepared meals.

Your hosts are Australian, yet have Myoko fully dialled in so they can provide plenty of advice on the weather and snow conditions, backcountry activities, local onsen and sightseeing around Myoko.

Where is Myoko Forest Lodge?

Located in a quiet spot called Rabbit Square along with other family run lodges, Myoko Forest Lodge is about 2km southeast of the Akakura Kanko Ski Resort and 3.4km northeast of the Ikenotaira Ski Resort.

If you don’t have a rental car, a drop off and pick up shuttle service is complimentary for access from the lodge to Akakura Onsen, Kanko and Ikenotaira ski resorts. Paid transfers can be provided to Suginohara (11 mins away), Kurohime (15 mins away), Seki Onsen (16 min drive), Lotte Arai (27 mins), Tangram (20 mins) or Madarao (31 mins).

Dining & Bar

Breakfast is included and you have the option for a half board package with breakfast and dinner included.

Breakfast is a café style chef prepared cooked breakfast that varies each day. Other fare includes fresh bread, tea and coffee.

In the evenings book ahead for a delicious gourmet dinner or BBQ irori style. A different meal is offered each night.
