Miyasakaya
Miyasakaya in Nozawa Onsen is a Japanese minshuku (inn) with traditional rooms with futon bedding on the floor, and shared bathrooms (including a small hot spring bath) and toilets. Miyasakaya offers economical Nozawa Onsen guest house accommodation and a great Japanese cultural experience with a very friendly English speaking host.
Where is Miyasakaya Nozawa Onsen?
Miyasakaya has a fantastic location in Nozawa Onsen. Miyasakaya is the second closest accommodation to Yu Road escalator (only 130m away) that heads up to the Hikage gondola and slopes (and ski school, child care) of the Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort. You can store your ski/snowboard equipment up at Hikage gondola.
The famous Oyu Onsen is only 50 metres away, as is the main hub of town where there are lots of restaurants, bars and shops.
Rooms
The rooms are Japanese traditional style (washitsu) with tatami flooring and up to 4 futons on the floor. The rooms have a leg-warming kotatsu table with seating.
As is common with minshuku, bathroom facilities are communal which include a shared small onsen bath onsite, or you can visit one of the Nozawa Onsen public baths which is a quintessential Nozawa activity.
