Yamada Ya Ryokan in Nozawa Onsen is a boutique Japanese inn that provides traditional Japanese accommodation in rooms with tatami flooring (shared bathrooms). This is a classic old-style no-frills ryokan that provides an authentic Japanese experience, and includes a small onsen onsite or there are public onsen nearby.
Where is Yamadaya Ryokan Nozawa Onsen?
Yamadaya Ryokan is centrally located and pretty much close to everything. It’s just 190m walk to Yu Road that heads up to the Hikage gondola and slopes (and ski school, child care) of the Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort. You can store your ski/snowboard equipment up at Hikage gondola.
It's about 230m walk to the main street of Nozawa Onsen where there are lots of restaurants.
Yamada Ya Ryokan is only 70m to Asagama Hot Spring.
Rooms
The rooms at Yamadaya Ryokan are Japanese traditional style (washitsu) with tatami flooring and up to 3 futons on the floor, and a seating area with kotatsu table to warm the legs.
Toilets and bathrooms are shared, with a small onsen bath onsite or you can bathe in a public onsen nearby, which is the must-do activity whilst in Nozawa Onsen.
Yukata are available to wear during your stay.
Rooms have a small fridge and TV.
