Catedral, Baguales & Laderas (Perito Moreno) Tour
If you want to make the most of your trip to Bariloche / Cerro Catedral, this guided ski & snowboarding tour might be just the thing you are looking for.
The package includes 4-days of guided skiing / snowboarding at Argentina's number one ski resort, Cerro Catedral, where you will have an exclusive lift pass enabling you to bypass the lift lines (which can be long). You will stay right at the base of the mountain so you can be out there early each day to get first tracks. The first night kicks off with a welcome dinner to meet the other tour participants and your guide.
On day-6 you will be shuttled with your group in private transport to Laderas (Perito Moreno) for a day of guided skiing/riding. In the evening you will be treated to another group meal in Bariloche, where you can cut loose a little should you decide to relax on day 7.
On day-7 you will have a day to relax and unwind or to take on one of the many activities available in the area like heliskiing, sailing on the majestic lakes, or exploring Bariloche, just to mention a few options.
The adventure continues to build on day 8 & 9 as you arrive at Baguales, staying in a magnificent and rustic refugio in the mountains for 2 nights. Here you will be spoilt with incredible food & spectaular views of the Andes. Each morning the snowcat will be purring out the front, waiting to whisk you away into the mountains for some epic cat skiing.
This is truly the best way to experience much of what Bariloche has to offer ... so get in quickly as spots will sell out fast!
Group Type & Ability
You'll need to pull together your own group and plan a bespoke trip. It is recommended that the group be of advanced ability as a minimum.
Terrain Type
This is
not a backcountry tour that requiring lots of hiking.
At Cerro Catedral and Cerro Perito Moreno you will access the piste, off-piste & sidecountry via lifts, with options for some short walks of up to 15 minutes. You will not require touring gear for this trip unless you opt for a backcountry day.
At Baguales, all of the terrain is backcountry accessed via the snowcat.
There is a backcountry option available at Bariloche for whoever wants it. If everyone in the group doesn't agree to it, there would be a need for an additional guide for that day. Your guide has contacts in Bariloche for touring gear if required.
Flying to Bariloche
There are regular flights (duration about 2 hours) from Buenos Aires to Bariloche Airport (BRC) with Aerolineas Argentinas JetSmart & Flybondi.

When you fly internationally to Argentina you will most likely be arriving at the international airport
Ezeiza Airport (EZE).
Most domestic flights from Buenos Aires depart from EZE so you won't need to change airports, you can walk from one terminal to the other.
However if you book a domestic flight from
Aeroparque (AEP) this will require a road transfer by bus, taxi or Uber between the airports which can take up to 1:30 hrs depending on the time of day. An Uber drive from Ezeiza Airport to Aeroparque will cost between 10 and 20 USD depending on the time of the day. It can even result in the need for an overnight stay in Buenos Aires (which can be a lot of fun!).
