El Azurfre is the base area for a proposed new ski resort in Argentina. Access is via a very scenic 20 minute helicopter flight from the small village of Los Molles located 17km from Las Lenas ski resort. Los Molles is about 260 miles (400km - 4.5. hours drive) from Mendoza ot 40 miles (60km - 50 mins drive) from Malargue. Domestic flights from Buenos Aires fly into Mendoza or get a charter flight into Malargue. Speak to the travel agent when you
inquire about this package regarding transfer options.
At this stage the resort consists of a small mountain lodge with 7 double/twin rooms for a maximum of 14 guests.
From there, using the mountain lodge as a base, you can either
heli ski or cat ski (or do both!).
All packages run from
Sat to Wed or
Tues to Sat (from mid June to late September) and include twin/double share lodging (as about a private room upgrade), plus 3 days of awesome cat skiing and all meals. Plus it includes a return heli transfer from Los Molles to El Azufre.

A typical itinerary for El Azufre cat skiing looks something like this:
Day 1
- Heli pickup at Los Molles helipad (before noon).
- Helicopter transfer to El Azufre: 20min scenic flight through the Andes mountain range.
- Check-in at the mountain Lodge.
- Program briefing, gear and safety checks.
- Carve your first lines to start discovering El Azufre.
- Welcoming celebration with chill out activities at The Dome.
Day 2-4
- Full day catski exploring the vast, untouched terrain of El Azufre.
- Lively après ski sunset gatherings at The Dome with music, games and more...
- Unique culinary experiences.
Day 5
- Checkout from El Azufre.
- Helicopter transfer to Los Molles helipad.
The Mountain Lodge
The lodge for El Azufre Cat Skiing is a 100% eco-friendly design and powered by solar energy. The conservation driven architecture provides a welcoming environment enabling guests to disconnect from their everyday routines and allow them time to enjoy the adventure, the nature and share it with family and friends.
There are only 7 rooms (max 14 guests), all twin/double share with one able to inter-connect for families.
