Chile Splitboard Trip

The Chile Splitboard Trip offers an unparalleled backcountry splitboarding experience in the enchanting South American country of Chile. Led by the esteemed ACMG splitboard guide Joey Vosburgh, get ready for an extraordinary tour with daily backcountry adventures out of favorite zones near Nevados de Chillan, Valle Nevado and La Parva.

You’ll experience the best of Central Chile on this multi-destination journey combining lift-assisted splitboard adventures and true local Chilean culture.

The Chile Splitboard Trip is initially based at a slopeside hotel at the Nevados de Chillan Ski Resort, then moves to the village of Farellones in the Tres Valles which incorporates La Parva, Valle Nevado and El Colorado ski resorts. The trip finishes with a night in the city of Santiago.

Tour Highlights

  • ACMG splitboard guide Joey Vosburgh and a Spanish speaking assistant guide hosting your adventure
  • Explore the guides' favorite backcountry zones and volcanoes out of Nevados de Chillan and the high Andes above Santiago
  • Soak in soothing volcanic fed hot springs after a great day splitboarding and freeriding the backcountry
  • 3 course lunch with wine tasting at Miguel Torres vineyard
  • Farewell dinner with your guides in Santiago

Group

Solos, pairs or small groups are welcome to join this group tour, which has a maximum of 6 guests for each tour date. Solo travelers will be paired with another guest of same gender in a twin room, or you can request a single room upgrade.

Ability & Fitness

The Chile Splitboard Trip is designed for the advanced splitboarder with at least one season of touring experience. Do not expect to ride inbounds at the resorts unless weather delays the group's ability to leave the boundaries each morning. Riders should have experience on variable snow conditions from powder, corn, firm snow and everything in-between.

Expect days to range between 2,600-5,000 feet (800-1500m) of uphill touring. The second half of the trip you will be touring and riding at altitude; 9,000 to 12,500 feet (2,800-3,800m) above sea level.

If you have any questions, please make contact.
