Chile Splitboard Trip
The Chile Splitboard Trip offers an unparalleled backcountry splitboarding experience in the enchanting South American country of Chile. Led by the esteemed ACMG splitboard guide Joey Vosburgh, get ready for an extraordinary tour with daily backcountry adventures out of favorite zones near Nevados de Chillan, Valle Nevado and La Parva.
You’ll experience the best of Central Chile on this multi-destination journey combining lift-assisted splitboard adventures and true local Chilean culture.
The Chile Splitboard Trip is initially based at a slopeside hotel at the
Nevados de Chillan Ski Resort, then moves to the village of
Farellones in the Tres Valles which incorporates
La Parva,
Valle Nevado and
El Colorado ski resorts. The trip finishes with a night in the city of
Santiago.

Group
Solos, pairs or small groups are welcome to join this group tour, which has a maximum of 6 guests for each tour date. Solo travelers will be paired with another guest of same gender in a twin room, or you can request a single room upgrade.
Ability & Fitness
The Chile Splitboard Trip is designed for the advanced splitboarder with at least one season of touring experience. Do not expect to ride inbounds at the resorts unless weather delays the group's ability to leave the boundaries each morning. Riders should have experience on variable snow conditions from powder, corn, firm snow and everything in-between.
Expect days to range between 2,600-5,000 feet (800-1500m) of uphill touring. The second half of the trip you will be touring and riding at altitude; 9,000 to 12,500 feet (2,800-3,800m) above sea level.

Joey is an ACMG Ski Guide, certified on his splitboard. Considered a splitboarding pioneer, modifying gear and playing with split techniques has allowed him to become known for his efficiency in the backcountry. Riding snowboards for over 3 decades, he loves to share these tips and his stoke for splitboarding with others.
