So, my husband has snowboarded since he was a child, but for me taking up a snow sport as an adult wasn't always the easiest. I'd had a couple of failed attempts but found both Mt. Rose and Diamond Peak to not only be family friendly but friendly to ADULT beginners. Incline Village is relaxed and not overpriced. We've stayed both at the Parkside Inn and in some AirBnBs and have found both suitable. Basically we ski, we go out to eat, we sleep in a clean place and we are happy. Incline Village provides all of this without too much hassle or cost. This will be our third year going back.

My FAVORITE place in all of Nevada

My Aunt & Mom lived in Incline Village for many years! My family & I have so many memories there & at the Hyatt. I have stayed in rooms that the Hyatt comped my Aunt several times & I rate it the best & cleanest Hotel in Nevada with the friendliest & most accommodating staff you could ask for! The decor of the rooms is classy-cozy with a Log-Cabinish feel & the beds are probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in...including my own! It's a quieter casino where I have hit many jackpots! And the restaurant "Lone Eagle" is honestly my favorite restaurant in the entire world! I don't know if Luke is still their...the traveling guitarist/singer that walks around inside & outside, but he is amazing! If you like water & snow sports, hiking & breathtaking scenery along with peaceful, relaxing, romantic, majestic, non-party animal but fun days & nights...then this is the place for you! I can't say enough about the entire experience except....You won't regret it! Thanks for the memories!

This is a beautiful town to use as a base to explore some of the Lake Tahoe ski resorts. It has the advantage of staying off-mountain to enjoy a real non-resortified Tahoe experience (as opposed to resorts like Northstar where everything feels a little plastic). The obvious downside is that a daily commute is required to get to the ski resorts.

There’s no main street or nice shops to wander around, which has its pros and cons, and there aren’t that many restaurants that you can stroll to. The town almost feels a little like Hicksville in places, whilst down near the lake it is a retreat for the rich and richer.

Staying at the deluxe Hyatt Hotel is a lovely way to experience Incline Village; in particular heading to the bar and restaurant overlooking the beach – an awesome place to view the gorgeous sunsets!
