We really enjoyed our stay at the Taos Inn. We stayed in a delightful room off the courtyard that had a super comfortable king bed, shuttered windows, Pueblo décor and a low wooden ceiling. The little adobe fireplace was a highlight of the room, and with wood supplied and amazing firelighters, it was gorgeous to light the fire in the evenings. There was also a modern heating system to keep us toasty.

The restaurant was a major highlight! One of the appetizers we tried was grilled rattlesnake and rabbit sausage adorned with a chili and dried cherry sauce. It was delicious once we got past the thought of what we were eating! One of their specialities was Doc’s Chili Relleno Platter: two fried Anaheim chilis coated with pumpkin seeds, filled with goats cheese cream and accompanied by salsa fresco, rice and beans. It was incredibly yummy, albeit a little naughty. The naughtiness then extended to the gorgeous desserts.
