Creekside Accommodation
Creekside is a small village at the southwest base of Whistler Mountain. It provides easy access to Whistler Mountain via the Creekside gondola, or there are shuttle buses and taxis to travel the 5km by road between Creekside and Whistler Village.
It is a peaceful village away from the hustle and bustle of Whistler Village, and the nightlife is rather quiet. This location is popular with families and a few of the Creekside accommodations are ski-in ski-out. Creekside generally provides better value for money than the hotels in Whistler Village.
Whistler & Blackcomb Accommodations
There are plenty of on-mountain Whistler accommodations to suit all budgets and requirements. There's a diverse selection of hotels in Whistler, as well as lodges, condos (apartments) and a few hostels.
Choosing Whistler accommodations for the first visit can be somewhat daunting because it takes a little orientation to figure out the different regions and the proximity of the Whistler lodging to the lifts and the shuttle buses. The Whistler accommodation map above in conjunction with the area tabs should aid you in getting your bearings.

Ski In Ski Out Whistler Hotels
There is surprisingly very little Whistler ski-in ski-out accommodation. There are only a few accommodations in Whistler Village (e.g. Westin Resort) and a handful at Creekside that fit the bill (such as Legends and First Tracks Lodge). Upper Village has a few ski-in ski-out accommodations that sit beside the Merlin’s run on Blackcomb Mountain, with examples including Coast Blackcomb Suites, Four Seasons Resort and Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
Upper Village (Blackcomb) Accommodation
Upper Village is the area near the Blackcomb base, adjacent to the Wizard Express chairlift. Some of the accommodation here is ski-in ski-out, and some offer luxurious services such as ski and snowboard valet. There are various bars, restaurants and shops in Upper Village, but it’s much quieter than Whistler Village.
Village North Accommodation
Village North including Marketplace, is the newer part of town, and is further away from the lifts past Whistler Village. The location isn’t as convenient for access to the slopes, yet Village North lodging is generally very reasonably priced.
There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in Village North, and if you want to access the Whistler Village action, it’s a very easy walk to get there. Most accommodation is approximately 10 to 15 minutes walk to the gondolas, or you can catch a shuttle bus. If you don’t like walking in your ski boots and/or want to do a spot of shopping on the way home, there are ski and boot storage facilities near the slopes.
Whistler Village Accommodation
Whistler Village is the main hub, with close proximity to the Whistler Village Gondola and the Blackcomb Excalibur Gondola. Whistler Village is the heart of the action where most of the shops, bars and restaurants are located. There are some premium hotels in Whistler Village. These properties are either ski-in/ski-out or a very short walk to the lifts.
