Skicircus Ski School & Snowboard Lessons

Each of the four major villages has at least two (or more) Skicircus Saalbach ski school options. Lots of Skicircus rental shops and hotels also provide, or are linked to, ski schools, ski instructors and guides.

In Saalbach there is the largest local ski school, Furstauer Schi Schule Saalbach. Others include Board.AT (snowboard lessons only) and Snow Academy (skiers and snowboarders). Snow Academy has a mascot called Spacy. There are plenty of people like that later in the night in Saalbach, but none of them are getting ski lessons!

Hinterglemm has a number of ski schools and hotels like the Alpine Palace have the Snow + Fun Ski School.

Fieberbrunn also has its own ski school (Widmanns Ski School Fieberbrunn) and the S4 shop near the Doischberg gondola also has ski instruction options. The Harrasser Ski School (a one man show) does freeride courses.

In Leogang the Schischule Skiszene is based near the Steinberg gondola and another Schnee Sport Schule is based near the Asitz gondola base.

Mountain Guides

If the prospect of navigating a ski resort behemoth like the Skicircus is daunting, there are numerous guides able to take you on a fabulous carefree journey. A local guide will find the best piste trails on an inbound ski safari, or amazing off-piste powder skiing in places that you may otherwise miss. At the Skicircus knowing where to exit the off-piste & where the bus stops are to get back to a lift is just as is important as the starting point & its made all the easier with a good guide.

Eating On Mountain

Skicircus Saalbach has over 60 mountain huts proving liquid and solid sustenance to the masses. The huts range from old (mid 1800s) traditional to modern. Nearly all have indoor and outdoor dining and drinking areas with the standard selection of sun lounges facing the great orb in the sky arrayed on the outskirts of each building. Try a sun lounge, they are comfy and a quintessential European ski experience.

Shops, Banking & Other Facilities

Saalbach has at least 2 supermarkets - a MPreis on the town square is very well stocked for a small-town supermarket, and another is in the lower town on the main valley road. There are also a range of specialty food and retail shops. ATMs are readily accessible in all the villages.
