3 Peaks Sesto-Sexten Ski Lessons & Guiding

Anyone wanting to explore the long, wide pistes of the 3-Peaks Dolomites (Sesto-Sexten) ski area with the style and grace of the locals may find the services of a local ski instructor or guide of benefit. With some of the steepest ski trails in Italy, 3 Peaks can challenge intermediates to go that step further into advanced pistes. However it also one of the better places for novices to learn in several smaller ski areas dotted throughout the resort. The Waldheim lifts are the best for learning to ski. The sheltered slopes, sunny location, easy tows and traditional rural surrounds are a delight.

Away from 3 Peaks, the best off-piste terrain in the Dolomites is at Cortina, Arabba-Marmolada (on the glacier & high above Arabba village), plus on the Sella massif, accessed via the Sass Pordoi cable car, where there are numerous classic descents that lead into Val di Fassa, Colfosco in Alta-Badia, Passo Gardena or back into Arabba via the highest peak on the massif, Piz Boe. Glacier descents on Marmolada into Passo Fedaia have the more reliable snow cover.
