With some of the best piste skiing in Italy, Kronplatz can definitely challenge intermediates to go that step further into advanced pistes that will test the length strength as they plunge 5km from the summit of Plan de Corones to the valley.

Away from Kronplatz, the best off-piste terrain in the Dolomites is at Cortina, Arabba-Marmolada (on the glacier & high above Arabba village), plus on the Sella massif, accessed via the Sass Pordoi cable car, where there are numerous classic descents that lead into Val di Fassa, Colfosco in Alta-Badia, Passo Gardena or back into Arabba via the highest peak on the massif, Piz Boe. Glacier descents on Marmolada into Passo Fedaia have the more reliable snow cover.
