Nepal Ski Touring Expedition

Ski in the Annapurna Sanctuary of Nepal

This ski touring or splitboarding adventure offers an extraordinary experience in the big Himalayan mountains. Designed for intrepid skiers/splitters, this trip allows you to enjoy the amazing landscape and the local culture that you'd expect with skiing in Nepal.

The sample itinerary outlines a program in the Annapurna Sanctuary, yet this trip can be fully customisable for private groups of at least 4 people, depending on the number of days you have available and your technical level. The Annapurna Sanctuary region is ideal for its relatively quick and easy access, as well as usually having quantity and quality snow. There are also other options for activities in autumn at higher altitudes such as the Far West or the northern region of Manaslu.

Highlights

  • Ski or ride in the mighty Himalaya from 5,500 metre peaks or more
  • Be guided by Jordi Tosas, a high mountain guide specialist in Nepal
  • Stay in teahouse lodging and soak up the rural culture of Nepal
  • Start and finish in Kathmandu, which provides a perfect opportunity to soak up the culture and energy of the city.
  • Nepal may be known for its complicated travel logistics but B4Experience makes your trip seamless from the moment you touch down in Kathmandu.

Group

One fixed date trip allows solos, duos and small groups to join others on this expedition, with a minimum of 4 people. Solo travelers joining group trips are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same gender for the duration of the trip.

You can also pull together your own group (minimum 4 people) and request a personalized program of 15 to 30 days which could cover the Annapurna Sanctuary, Langtang, and/or Manaslu. Please get in contact to explore the options. February and March are the ideal times to travel.

Ability & Fitness

An advanced level of fitness is required. A good level of off-piste skiing is required along with experience with ski touring activities (randonnee / splitboarding / backcountry skiing). Depending on the physical and technical level of the participants and the snow and weather conditions, the mountain guide will adapt the outings for maximum enjoyment.

If you know that you prefer to go far and steep and are looking for a challenge, it is ideal to bring along your group of friends and book an entire mountain expedition group for yourselves. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
