A Special Ski Adventure Amongst the Awe Inspiring Landscape of the Dolomites.

Linking 9 ski resorts by ski, taxi, helicopter & snowmobile, spend 5 nights in mountain rifugi under the guidance of your dedicated host. Using only groomed ski slopes you ski from high-mountain rifugio-to-rifugio through mile upon mile of some of the most stunning mountains in the world. Stay in the best rifugi, experience a wonderful helicopter flight through these beautiful mountains & enjoy the thrill of two snowmobile rides. To make no mention of the food, wines, & great ski slopes.

Enjoy six event packed ski days where each morning begins on a newly prepared groomed ski slope and no one else on the mountain. After a comfortable night in a warm & comfortable rifugio, experience the best on-piste skiing that the Dolomites has to offer. Each and every morning we say, "the mountain is yours".

Find the best snow, stunning mountain vistas, enjoy local cuisine and some lesser known, quieter ski slopes. Ski the resorts of Alta Badia, Arabba Marmolada, Civetta, Cortina, Kronplatz, Obereggen, San Pellegrino, Val di Fassa & Val Gardena.

This seven night ‘soft adventure’ ski tour is fully hosted & guided with your own ski leader. You never have to puzzle over your trail map or think about where you're going. Just enjoy the slopes as they keep on coming ... and there are lots of them!

The Special Dolomites Ski Safari is restricted to a maximum of six per group, plus your ski leader.

Ski Ability & Gear

The Special Dolomites Ski Safari is suitable for fit, middle intermediate or better skiers. All guests will be qualified before booking to ensure that the group is of the necessary fitness & ski ability.

A price reduction is available for anyone with their own skis & poles.

Lift Passes

The tour tariff includes a full 6-day Dolomiti Superski lift pass, however anyone with a IKON Pass (valid on Dolomiti Superski) will receive a price reduction.

Itinerary  for SPECIAL Dolomites Ski Safari

There is something magical about staying on the mountain. As the other skiers drop back into their valleys and return to their hotels, you can pull up a chair, order a drink & allow the mountain tranquility to wash over you. Watch the sun slide behind the mountain opposite, because, more than likely, you'll be skiing it tomorrow!

DAY 1: Arrival & Welcome

Transfer from Innsbruck (or other preferred arrival point) via Ortisei & ski equipment fitting. Evening welcome drinks & briefing with your ski leader/host.

DAY 2: Santa's Balls & the Lovers Piste

Transfer from Castelrotto by private taxi to Obereggen. Ski Obereggen to Predazzo, Latemar - Predazzo transfer to San Pellegrino. Ski San Pellegrino. Snowmobile transfer to Rifugio Fuciade.

DAY 3: The SPECIAL Dolomites Ski Safari | Marmolada Morning

Start with a ski-doo transfer to blow out the morning cobwebs! Then the short helicopter transfer to the Marmolada ski area and 'Fresh-Tracks' on your Marmolada Morning. This world class, 12km ski trail offers 1,810m vertical, wide slopes and just amazing skiing!

DAY 4: Cortina d'Ampezzo Ski Safari

Ski Cortina d’Ampezzo. The 10 min ski bus to the Tofane ski area and a welcome to this wonderful ski area. Conquer Olympia, the Tofana Bus and the Forcella Rossa before taking the ski bus (10min) through town to Faloria & Cristallo. End of day taxi to 5 Torri..

DAY 5: St. Croce Pilgrimage via The Hidden Valley

Ski through the 5 Torri and Lagazuoi backcountry before taking the Lagazuoi cable car. Fresh tracks along the Hidden Valley, at its quiet best. Take your time. Lunch is a highlight today at Ütia La Crusc (2.045 m) at the foot of ‘Sas dla Crusc’ in the most beautiful, scenic location. Taxi to Piculin. And just when you think its all over tackle the piste ERTA - the new Women's World Cup Slalom run!

DAY 6: The Longest Ski Safari Day

Slip by the Kronplatz bell on the way to Ried. The network of ski slopes corkscrews this Christmas pudding of a ski mountain. If the ski lift is 5.8k imagine the length of the piste! The Piculin black tests the thighs. Return to Alta Badia and a memorable lunch - wine & a steak? Don't overdo it, there is still a long way to go.

DAY 8: Departure

Try to take the time to enjoy your Cavallino d'Oro breakfast. If time allows, take a wander around this wonderful South Tyrol village. Your transfer to Innsbruck is only 90min.

Accommodation & Meals

Hotel Cavallino d'Oro

During your Classic Dolomites Ski Safari you will spend 2 nights (1 at the start & 1 at the end of the tour) in the 4-star Hotel Cavallino d'Oro located in the mountain village of  Castelrotto. Rooms will be on a double or twin share basis & breakfast is included.

Mountain Rifugi

During the middle of the ski safari you will experience the ultimate Dolomites lodging experience spending 5 consecutive nights in different alpine rifugi. Note that whilst most couples will get their own private rooms with en suite, it is impossible to guarantee this. It is most likely that you will, at some point, have to share with other members of your group, but that is part of the rifugio experience!.

A night in each rifugio includes breakfast & dinner, plus full bars with local aperitifs, beer, wine & grappa. The views, sunrise & sunset are also included!
