All rooms have TV, telephone, tea set, hair dryers (in some rooms) and complimentary toiletries.
Facilities
The hotel has a lovely indoor Japanese bath house (onsen) and a beautiful outdoor hot spring (rotenburo), saunas, plus a communal tea/bar lounge area with an open fire and free wifi access in lounge (not in rooms).
For the kids there is a games arcade and table tennis table (and a karaoke room for the bigger kids).
There is ski storage and a ski rental shop, retail shop, laundry and dry cleaning service, and free onsite parking.
There are a few staff at reception that speak English and the concierge can assist with travel arrangements, organising activities, and any other enquiries.
Restaurants & Bar
The main restaurant offers a Japanese & western buffet breakfast, which is generally included in packages. This restaurant also serves up a large family friendly buffet dinner of Japanese and western fare.
The Furusato Restaurant at the Madarao Kogen Hotel is more formal and serves upscale Japanese set meals.
Evening meals can be included in your accommodation package, but may want to pay as you so that you can also sample a couple of other Madarao dining options.
One end of the main restaurant doubles as a lounge and bar until about 5:30pm.
