Treble Cone Backcountry Ski Tours

Aspiring Guides provide a range of great backcountry ski and snowboard tours.

Specific to Treble Cone, Aspiring Guides provide fabulous guided backcountry skiing day trips. They use the lifts to get access to the top of TC and then explore the terrain just outside the boundaries of the ski resort. If you’re reasonably new to backcountry riding, this is a great opportunity to have the support of a guide, and to gain skills in using ski touring equipment: skins, touring bindings, and avalanche transceiver. Touring equipment is available for rent from one of the Wanaka ski hire shops. The group sizes are very small, so the tours are somewhat customisable to suit your ability and fitness level.
