Uzbekistan with The Adventure Project

The trip to Uzbekistan had been on my list for awhile and with The Adventure Project, it was a fantastic experience. There was a nice mix of side country and touring. After touring for approximately 4 hours we skied the biggest line I have ever skied. The side country skiing is fantastic with good powder access. We were fortunate that the conditions were superb during our visit. The cultural activities were great. I highly recommend The Adventure Project and this trip.

Endless powder lines

Seemingly endless powder fields plump with high-quality snow and zero competition for turns made Uzbekistan my trip of a lifetime.
I was fortunate to get in on The Adventure Project’s inaugural voyage to Uzbekistan in February 2022. Matt and the local guide Kseniya did an awesome job leading me to easily accessible lift-served powder, short sidecountry tours and a couple of longer adventures.
After decades of skiing, I had the run of my life after a tour up Big Chimgan mountain. Thousands of vertical feet of pristine untracked snow and a sustained pitch provided turns I’ll remember forever and recount often. All the skiing I experienced on my trip was top-notch. Visiting the older ski areas was really cool and the skiing superb with options for laid-back wide open turns and some technical pitches that keep your attention.
The Uzbek people are welcoming and friendly. The area’s culture and fare are special.
Overall, The Adventure Project far surpassed any expectations I had. Tours were safe, pacing excellent, camaraderie incredible and skiing otherworldly. I’m ready to go back.
