Last week I stayed at The Village Lodge in Mammoth. It was a bit more $$ than I initially planned to pay but I quickly forgot that due to the comfort, convenience and everything else on offer! A lovely 1br apartment with everything you would need - including a balcony overlooking the village and a lovely gas fireplace. A true American ski resort experience, with the standard 'vanilla pear' candle smell in the foyer, through to the outdoor pool and two hot tubs, fun in the snow. The bed was super comfy (a big, almost 'princess and the pea' bed!) plus there was a bath, drying cupboard, dining table, full kitchen and a complimentary underground carpark space per booking. The location is awesome - a short flat walk to the gondola direct to Canyon Lodge, easy access to all the restaurants, bars, general store and seriously good bagels at the deli. I'd highly recommend this property given the style, inclusions and access and this would certainly be my first choice of accommodation if I get to Mammoth again. Transfers to/from airport also included in the booking.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Village Lodge. We stayed in a one bedroom condo which was beautifully furnished and had plenty of space in the living area to spread out. We didn’t use the kitchen, as there were way too many restaurants and bars nearby to explore, but it looked as though it was pretty well kitted out. The king bed was super comfortable and we could have easily stayed there for the season!

The bathroom was lovely and the formation of the hand towels into a “towel mammoth” was a nice extra touch!

The location was ideal. It was a great middle point between the town and the slopes, and the access to both was very easy. We had our car parked in the underground parking, but didn’t need to use it whilst staying at The Village Lodge.

This is a great place to stay if you want a very easy ski vacation.
