For a moderate sized ski resort village, the Northstar shopping is pretty good.
Northstar Ski Shops
There is really only one main ski shop at Northstar. The large True North ski shop provides a wide range of ski boots, skis, other hardwear, and accessories. There is rack after rack of apparel that is mostly upscale and if you want a bit of foo foo or bling bling on your ski outfit, then you’ll probably find it there! A smaller version of the True North ski shop can be found up at the Ritz-Carlton, with a main focus on outerwear and inner layers.
There are a handful of outdoor clothing stores in Northstar such as Helly Hansen, Icebreaker, Oakley, and Patagonia that sell outerwear for skiing and snowboarding, and other mountain apparel.
A much larger range of ski gear including any technical gear or apparel can be found at the Truckee ski shops.
Northstar Snowboard Equipment
The Butterbox is a large shop that sells snowboards, boots, and snowboard apparel as well as streetwear from various brands.
The Village at Northstar also has a Burton shop featuring an extensive selection of Burton gear.
Souvenir Shopping
True North has a small selection of Northstar souvenirs such as hoodies, neck gaitors and shot glasses.
However if you’re keen to buy a keepsake of your Northstar ski vacation, there’s a dedicated souvenir shop, Northstar Logo Co, selling an array of everything Northstar.
General Shopping
The Village at Northstar has various other shops such as a candle shop, bath products store (of course you’d want to go all the way to Northstar to buy a candle or bath product?!), jeans shop, shoe store, and toy shop. There is also a boutique at the Ritz-Carlton.
Grocery Shopping
The village has a small gourmet store that sells some grocery items, but for substantial grocery shopping you’ll need to head to Truckee or Incline Village.
