There are various options for Brighton Utah lodging. There is a little lodging on-mountain, or you can stay at nearby Solitude Ski Resort. Alternatively at the base of the canyon is great value lodging in Midvale, Cottonwood Heights or Sandy, or staying in downtown SLC is another option.

Brighton Utah Lodging On-Mountain

Brighton ski resort has a little bit of lodging on-mountain, which provides the convenience of walking out the door and being ready to ride. There is the risk that the Big Cottonwood road may close for avalanche control, and those staying on the hill can make the most of the powder day on uncrowded slopes. One of the disadvantages of Brighton Ski Resort lodging is that there is very little to do at night. There are no restaurants, bars, shops or other activities.

Brighton Lodge is very conveniently located slope-side next to Molly Green’s and provides simple accommodations in the form of hotel style lodging. The rooms vary somewhat. There are suites, queen rooms or economy bunk rooms. The rustic traditional lodge has some facilities including a large outdoor hot tub and a social common area. Families love the very affordable prices that include breakfast.

The Brighton Chalets are located across the road from the Brighton parking lot (approximately 0.2 mile walk to the resort). They have cabins and units of varying sizes. Other Brighton accommodations include private vacation rentals around the Brighton Loop Road.

Solitude Resort and Hotel Lodging

Another option is to stay at nearby Solitude ski resort. Solitude hotels and condos are incredibly well suited to families. The lodging is located within the cute village and is either ski-in ski-out or only a very short walk to the lifts. Much of the lodging is hotel/condo style with studios, or one to three bedrooms per condominium. Guests have access to Club Solitude where there is an exercise centre, games room and an outdoor pool.

Hotel accommodations are available at the Inn at Solitude which is conveniently located right next to the ski area. The elegant hotel has great facilities including a fine dining restaurant, day spa, and an outdoor heated pool and hot tub.

Other Brighton Accommodations

The Silver Fork Lodge is a few miles down the road from Brighton, and has bed and breakfast accommodation. The lodge also serves up a large range of interesting food in the restaurants. They offer transport to either Brighton or Solitude ski resorts.

Accommodations in Outer Salt Lake City

Another alternative is to stay at the base of the Big Cottonwood Canyon. Cottonwood Heights and Midvale are located between the two Cottonwood Canyons where some great value hotels can be found. There are dining options in these suburbs, so you can choose to dine locally or go downtown.

Cottonwood Heights is 15 miles from downtown SLC and only 16 miles to Brighton.

There are also lots of options for every budget in downtown Salt Lake City. Staying in a Salt Lake City hotel provides the flexibility of being able to visit various Utah ski resorts, and another advantage is that there is a lot more on offer in relation to dining and nightlife. There is public transportation between Salt Lake City and Brighton, but having a car is advantageous.
