Columbine Inn
The Columbine Inn is superbly located at
Powder Mountain Utah. The accommodation is completely ski-in ski-out, and it is just 15 steps to the lift ticket office and Powder Mountain Lodge, and only 5 steps from the carpark right out the front. You can’t get a more convenient location than that!
Rooms
The Inn has simple hotel rooms that are very tastefully decorated. All rooms have queen beds, and a couple of rooms also have a futon to enable the room to sleep up to 4 persons. A kitchenette in each room allows for straight-forward meals to be made.
When the wind is howling outside, it is so cosy to curl up on the bed and watch television. In the evening, the views of the night skiing slopes are beautiful, and watching the youngsters out in the cold makes it feel all the warmer inside. In the morning, it is so beautiful to open the curtains and take in the gorgeous views of Powder Mountain.
The only downside is that the beds are a bit saggy, but the comfort and cosiness of the rooms make up for it.
Facilities
The accommodation at Columbine Inn is no-frills, so the facilities are limited, but the simplicity of the lodging is nice and it keeps it in line with the relaxed culture of Powder Mountain. This is more of an inn than a hotel, so there is no restaurant or bar on-site. Laundry facilities are available, and internet access is available in the rooms for a charge. Guests can use the indoor swimming pool at Powder Ridge for a small fee.
Condos
Columbine Inn also has other options for accommodation including the Sundown Condos, Moonridge Condos and Slopeside Homes.
Why Stay at the Columbine Inn?
Rates start from $110 per room during the ski season, so it’s very good value, especially for on-mountain accommodation. This is a small fraction of the cost you’d pay for a hotel room in
Park City or
Snowbird. And the beauty of the Columbine Inn is the feeling of being in a remote area where you can truly relax and get away from it all.
